He was actually trying to make a serious point. There are plenty of newbies (I used to be one) who thought the whole point of taking passblock was to try to get interceptions. What he's saying is that passblock is a useful skill, but don't expect to get too many interceptions out of it, especially if you are high ag.
This seems like pure contradiction on first glance, but the fact of the matter is that your opponent isn't stupid, and he knows most of the time, an interception will be the difference between winning or losing. He's not going to risk it, so he just doesn't throw.
Now, does that make passblock useless? No, because you can use that to your advantage. But Mirasceal is correct, you don't take passblock for the interceptions. Everybody knows MB hasn't a thing to do with ints. NOT everyone knows that about passblock. That help?
