bull centaur - on field

Post by bj0rn »

how the he** does the chaos dwarf bull centaur fit onto the field...

all players take up one square on the field, right?

if so, no problem...but how do you work out problems concerning big guys approaching bull centaurs from behind (DONT make silly suggestions please  )

with a trivial amount of base-tab snipping, the bull centaur does remarkably well on a normal round base... solves your probhlem pretty quickly...

Or trimming down the horse-base that they come with (although this takes some putty to cover up the open edges after the cut).

The round base idea which Phil suggested works best.

The end-zone “line of death” does not discriminate when one tempts fate by using a “go for it” to pass over it.

No Big Guy (or Bull Centaur) fits on a normal square. Just improvise I guess...

Hthark the Unstoppable just fits well on a normal round GW base.

(I use converted Htharks for my rookie BCs.)

So if Hthark fits, I think any BC should!

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Yea, that calvary base can be kind of troubling when figuring out tackle zones.
What I have done is chopped off one of the slats as well as shortened it a bit and put them on the medium sized square bases. Not sure what uses these bases in the Warhammer world, but they are the size between big guys' bases and the small bases.
Worked really well, but I did it just after the play offs when I used that team so my opponents never got to experience the nice square fitting Bull Centaurs.

40mm rounds work well, as do 25mm square :)

25 mm round is possible too, i did this for 4 Bull centaurs.
Looks esp. good when you put the BC into a reeling position.

I just put together a Chaos Dwarf team myself. I like the idea of putting them on the 40mm round bases as they do fit on the pitch better than the 40mm square bases.

Thanks
