Maximum players and the like

Post by Old Man Draco »

Hi, I'm pretty new here, but the results I have seen so far are promising, so as a captain of my league in the Netherlands, here is a question: In the rules it says you are not allowed to put more than for example two wardancers in your team. Does that include or exclude the starplayer wardancer, because then you would have three wardancers instead of two! (Same goes for blitzers etc.) (I've downloaded a bloodbowl team roster creator that states it cannot be done! Thanks for your time.

In addition to the normal players shown on the team
lists, you are allowed to hire special Star Players for your
team.
The Star Player’s position: Blitzer, Catcher,
Lineman or Thrower. This does not count against any
position limits for a team.
Above rule can be found on p18 of LRB 2.0 so, YES, you can have a third Wardancer that way

the star players are star players now, not blitzers or wardancers, so you have 2 wardancers and a "star player"

You could even have 3 and a star player if you roll "That Boy's Got Talent."

:o Well I'm a rookie and don't no that much, but I read page 17 of LRB 2.0 (Getting familiar with short cuts, as you can see) that you cannot have more players of the same type than allowed by the stats; i.e. 0-2 wardancers.
Page 18 does state starplayers are allowed extra, but where on the special player card "That Boy's Got Talent" does it state that you may exceed the limit of 2 wardancers (3 with a Star Player) when the ball is thrown in by this special fan? I couldn't find it. :o
Please reply, many thanks
Draco.

From the LRB, p43
HANDICAP TABLE (D66)
45 THAT BOY’S GOT TALENT
In your last match you spotted a talented fan in the stands, and he agrees to play for your team. Add one player at any position to
your roster for this match only. The player leaves the roster when the match ends. Note that you may add a 17th player to a match in this fashion.

It says add one player at any position, it doesn't say you have to respect the limit of player for that position.

Didn't saw that one at first...
I have no clue about the differences since I started almost a year ago with the LRB...
