Is it beardy to surround an opponent's Wild Animal in an attempt to force a turnover?

Like I said...
The Minotaur on my champion Norse team has the most SPP's. He's spent his share of turns surrounded, causing turnovers right away, and generally being "played" by the opposing coach but he still ended up one of the best players in the league and the best on my team. It ain't broke...and if it is I don't want it fixed!
