Help with Humans

Greetings,

My human team is in an all rookie 5 team league. After my first game against Skaven I had 3 players level up.

My Team:
Ogre
Blitzer
Blitzer
Blitzer
Blitzer - skill
Catcher - skill (double 5)
Thrower
Lineman - skill (doubles)
Lineman
Lineman
Lineman
3 Rerolls

My next two games are against Slann and Norse. I'm waffling on each skill:
Blitzer Mighty Blow / Strip Ball / Guard
Catcher Movement / Nerves of Steel / Block
Lineman Guard / Leader

Any advice you can give is appreciated.

Mighty Blow, MA and Guard would be my choices.

I feel that guard on the lineman is an easy choice for me. Mighty Blow over Strip Ball I'm not so sure. With MB I'll get to my next skill faster and potentially take out more players but wouldn't my team be better off with Strip Ball making it easier to pop the ball out. With the catcher I know MV is the way to go, it just feels wrong not putting block on a 7AV player.

I was thinking specifically MB based on your next opponents. SB would be a good choice, but given you've got Slann and Norse there's a very good chance that MB will generate some SPP.

With the MA, if you don't take the good rolls when they come up you may never get them again.

+1

I rarely have a strip ball player except on some elf and skaven teams, tackle is far more important, and starting out it's good getting a couple of guard and mighty blow before getting fancy. :)

Guard on them all.

Will help with leaping Slann as guards can go on the corners of the cage and will even up the odds against the extra strength in the Norse team.

If all guard is too boring then 2 guard and MB on the Blitzer.

Mb on the blitzer and guard on the other 2. Ma8 dodging guard is really useful and guard is nearly always the doubles choice on a lino. Mb will skill up the blitzer who can go guard or tackle next skill if he rolls a normal. Your main goals now are getting block on the catcher and skilling up your other blitzers. Go for 2 mb and 2 guard on your blitzers for first skill barring stats and doubles and you'll have a very well balanced team

What Matt said (well, almost  )
First choice in a long/perpetual league.
Second choice (3x Guard) on a a shorter one. Or if you just wanna win now.

MB on the blitzer
Guard on other 2.

Against Norse (AV 7 and you must beat them up before they beat you up) and Slann (against whom destruction is the best tactic), MB can help a lot.
Against, let's say, Orcs and Dwarves, 3 guards would have been better.

MB on blitzers, MA on catcher, guard on lineman.

I've been sold on guard with the lineman and Mighty Blow with the Blitzer. I'm leaning towards MV with the catcher because giving him guard would mean that I leave him next to other players which just seems wrong with a 2 ST 7 AV player.

In a 5 team league (so short I assume) : Guard, Guard, Guard.
