5+5 on 8349 Blodge Orc

Post by mattgslater »

Malachite hit Super Star. What would you do?

He doesn't get hit a lot, so Side Step is less than optimal, but Leap sounds hazardous. Diving Tackle could be fun, would get him hit. No shortage of good normal skills.

I vote SS - blodge+ss will make him a pain for defenses and even help with one turn scores.

I would be inclined to re-inforce the +2MA with either Sure Feet or Sprint. I'm thinking especially (but not only) of one-turn-scores (either by him, or using him as the retriever of the ball).

Hope that helps.

Ack!, that's right... no more than +2 to a stat....

Leader would be poetic.... After all, he is maxed on skill upgrades, right, and you don't want him hogging any more spp.... Or he could be your "go to" orc with pass/catch....

You choosed "Leap"?
SideStep would have been a more logic choice (imo)

Leap will dramatically lower his life expectancy, interesting choice.

Life expectancy? I figured either Leap or SS would get him killed, but Leap would be fun in the process. I don't plan on using it a lot, but I do think it will change how people play these guys.

Even if you dont use it, Leap becomes a skill your opponent has to react to with his positioning. Outside the box thinking; like it :)

Blood Bowl Tip #47: The turf does not have ClawPOMB.

Blood Bowl Tip #94: When your open perpetual team loses a statfreak, its opponents lose a lot of TV.

I saw that you had already selected your skill before I got to vote, so I said to give him pie.

and a leaping, blodging, +AG orc blitzer is an abomination. I would knock him over and gang foul him as promptly as possible out of shear fear of the unknown.

I think Leap is a good choice. As you said yourself, it's a skill you never have to use for it to be useful. I've played matches with Slann where I didn't leap a single time. Ok, one match.

I don't have an issue with it. I think he's going to cause people fits. If he survives to his legend skill what will you give him (assuming he doesn't roll 6+6)?

Thinking Strip Ball at Legend. No opinion on doubles. Would take AV, AG, or ST with glee. (The turf doesn't have Claw...)
