Undead desicions

Post by lunchmoney »

I dont normally seek help in these things, but I'm in a quandary.

My team:
Ghoul with Block & +S, rolls double 1
Mummy with Block & Guard, rolls double 2

Mummy with Guard
Wight with Tackle & Strip Ball
Wight rookie
2 x Ghouls with Block
Ghoul rookie
Skeleton with Dirty Player
4 x Skeleton Rookies
Zombie with Guard
Zombie with Block & Tackle

I have no care about TV (so dont even go there, I know all the debates about TV management, I just dont care).

Like I say, a quandary about the 2 players who skilled up and rolled a double.

I'm tempted with Tackle on the Mummy to better take down blodgers.
The Ghoul gets used as ball carrier (due to the safety of S4) and striker (due to the S4), so not sure where to go with it.

What what you do?

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

I would take Side Step on ghoul for survivabilaty and positioning. Fend, Tackle, Sure hands are still available if you only roll normals in the furure.
And Dodge on Mummy to tool up for Stand Firm on next roll.

MB on the Ghoul, Tackle or Frenzy on the Mummy - he's a killer, those skills make him better at it.

MB on the ghoul. He is a mobile blitzer who doesn't need a helper to get 2d.
Dodge, side-step or frenzy on the mummy. All are nice but I'd probably going side-step. Stand him next to a cage and if he gets hit...

Dodge on the Mummy can also be combo'd with Break Tackle to give a cage breaker

Guard for the Ghoul definitely. No point in giving him MB when you can easily skill a Wight up to POMB.
The Mummy is more interesting. SS is basically a waste as SF is one of the few decent skills you can get on a normal roll. I think I would take Dodge on him with a view to SF as next skill.

What an interesting problem to have!
What format are you playing in? Short term, long, "eternal"?
Presuming long term, here are my 2c

For the Mummy I would go Dodge, to follow with Stand Firm, so to become a god of the scrum. Alternatively Dodge followed by Break Tackle.

For the Ghoul I'm less sure.
-Guard is always a fair choice: Undead are always looking for more (with that Zed Guard you are looking at a prospective 6 Guard in the long term :smoking: )
-Mighty Blow got his value, just keep in mind who's going to make most of the blitzing (you are buinding a Wight to this effect)
-Alternatively, skip it for Side Step or Sure Hands

It's online with OCC, so in effect "as long term as I want it to be"

The mummy's biggest problem is Ma3, so I suggest Sure Feet for reliable Ma5, or Sprint for more unreliable Ma6....

MiB on the ghoul, or Leader....

blodge +ST ghoul. He's a ball carrier. I'd ignore the double for side step or sure hands. If you must use the double I'd probably go guard and develop a different ball carrier.

The mummy is a bit trickier. You've already got block, so I'd be tempted to ignore the double in this case also, but if you're going to put a double skill on him I'd go dodge. It will pair with break tackle eventually and make him a real b!+@# to knock over.

Guard is good for a ballcarrier.
Also the only thing required to make this guy a ballcarrier is SH, so it is absolutely no problem for him to have both.

MB on the Ghoul, Frenzy on the Mummy. Kill the opponents before they can kill you. 8)
