anyskill for a orc lineman

My lineman got doubles. I have no idea what skill to get him. My orcs generally smash everyone up and try to break free but recently I've had one orc get a plus to agility so hes good at making it down field to make catches. Is there a skill I can give to the lineman to help out my thrower or help out the blitzer? Or is there just a skill that is mandatory to give a linemen when you roll doubles.

I gave mine Dirty Player.
But in your case I would agree with Pedda. Giving him guard makes him valuable in defending your thrower.

Guard is the choice, then Block. He can get into a scrum and help all your Orcs...and they are usually already in a scrum.

Agree with others: guard... DP only if you already have adequate guard on others....

Dodge if you have the luxury of enough guard and other specialists....

It truly depends on the team and environment.... Using Necros as an example: you only have access to four possible guards (given regular rolls), two of which are Ag2 slow advancers.... In a manner of speaking, no, my faves can't even dream of "enough" guard.... On the other zed, if the environment is full of teams with (sl)easy access to guard (i.e., scrunts) then why bother...? I could just advance the wights to MiB and Tackle without worry.... On the third hand, if my opponents have equally (or worse) access to guard then maybe I should press the advantage....

Orcs have fairly strong access to guard (blorcs, troll and blitzers) and should be able to outguard most teams anyway, so I would cast a discerning eye at the potential waste of a double on guard....

I think the best Guardsman in the game is a High/Dark Elf lino with Blodge already, but Orc linos are ideal as well with AV9. Its a no-brainer.

On a side note. Can you imagine the nightmare of having to go up against a team where all 11 people have guard? I kind of want to try this out for my next team.

Go to cakebowl. its a high skills tourney. that kind of abuse is seen there. played six games. 4 fun. One the best tournament game l have ever played (thanks Fern) then the worst against an all guard dwarf team. Nearly conceded on the spot and was not remotely gracious about it.
