Choices, choices (nurgle)

Post by swilhelm73 »

After my last match I have 3 skill ups on my nurgle team and I'm trying to decide what I want to take. My team:

http://bbm.jcmag.fr/BloodBowlManager.We ... lang=en-US

The players that leveled are:

#2 Nurgle Warrior: Block, Guard, Mighty Blow
#7 Pestigor: Block, Tackle, Mighty Blow
#1 Beast of Nurgle: Guard

I have a killer pestie (block, tackle, MB, claw, PO, -AV) and a killer Nurgle Warrior (Block, MB, Claw, Guard) already. My next opponent (with whom I am tied for the division and league best record) is chaos dwarves - we tied last time we played in a bloody match. Then I have Nurgle, Norse, and Skaven.

I think SF is the obvious choice for the Beast of Nurgle. I don't think I want to take claw for both of the other guys though (do I really need 4 claw at about 2200 TV?). What do you think?

+1 to all those. The Pesty could get Piling On, if you face a lot of AV7.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Would two piling on players be too much though? Especially since neither has JU.

Nope, just gives you more options.

Piling on for the pesti, I'd be minded to give both the beast and the warrior stand firm. Only thing more annoying that a strong guarder with stand firm is if he has foul appearance too!

SF against dwarves is awesome, with their low MA just stalling their cage a little can cause serious problems.

(Even though it seems you already decided...)

I'd take Claw on the Warrior, especially if your main rival and next match is CD. Every Dwarf you take out makes the match that much easier, and multiple Claws hitting his LoS will hurt. By the same dint, it'll help with any other bash team down the line.

Personally, I'd take Sure Hands or Extra Arms on the Pestigor for when you need safer ball handling, but that might just be my conservatism.

Stand Firm on the Beast is compulsory.
