Need quick advice for wood elf inducements

Post by el Superbeasto »

Hi all,
I have a game tomorrow with my woodies against a bashy norse team and I have 260K in inducements. (At the moment my team only has 10 players, though.)
So, how to spend the money??
Obvious choice seems a journeyman (70K) and a wizard (150K).
The 150K from the wizard could also buy me a mercenary wardancer, though, thus bringing my team up to 12 players.
Or I could spend all 260K on Jordell Freshbreeze giving me an AG5 leaper. He only has one guard player on his team, so an AG5 leaper would be a real disturbance to his defending the ball.

What's your thoughts? Any good advice?

Journeyman and a Wizard is boring but probably your best option. Quick score on Defense and that's the game.

I agree - it's boring.

Go for Jordell and make both your lives exciting :)

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Jordell. I think.

They're the same in my book: ineffective is unfun. I couldn't tell you which is more effective. Wizards tend to fail and/or get misused.

Edril and BBabe.

Edril is better than a wizard and is an extra body (although keep him safe as far as you can given he doesn't have block).

Technically you should have already picked your Journeyelf as that is done in the postgame, but that doesn't look to be your league's rules.

Yes, I know. We've moved the hiring of journeymen to the pre-match phase, though. Hiring in the post-match fase seems to give a disadvantage to the persons finishing their game first.

Thanks. I ended up taking a journey and a wizard. The game went so well, though, that I didn't really need the wizard. I used it in the end to try and stop him from scoring, but at that time I was up 2-0, so his goal was only cosmetics. The wizard did his job, but Nuffle then decided to let his Ulfwerener pick up the ball, dodge twice, and make two go for its with no re-rolls  -but the game ended 2-1 in my favour.
Lost two rookie lineelfs in the final phase, but had an +AG skillup on a wardancer, so who am I to complain? :D

I know. But with MB and Frenzy he was already quite popular with the opponents' boots.
