Yup. If you can afford George always take him. Might be particularly important against a bombardier.

He doesn't have one on that roster? What the hell kind of goblin coach doesn't chuck bombs? For shame!

The game against the goblins was as expected a very tough game. In the first two turns his chainsaw put out into the ko-box a gorilla and furios george and george stands the whole game in there :-? Therfore i had to score fast to get rid of it and the first half ended 1:1. Without tackle this damn goblins like the snotlings of the ogre team are a real pain. But then some lucky events are happen his st+1 and mv+1 pogo breaks his staff by a missed jump and i send a troll into the ko box at the start of the second half. But i never get his fanatic under control he stays all the second half on the pitch and chause a lot trouble..A line ape was killed by a foul and my niggling gorilla looses one point of armor and i have to replace him but with my last turn i managed to score for a sweet 2:1 (3:3) victory!!
So just one game against a Khorne Team and maybe i'll be in the playoffs that would be a huge success..its the first season with apes.
And so i am down to 12 apes but i have a third Blodge gorilla :D

Edit: There were some situation where i really want to have Break Tackle on a Blodge gorilla. And the mass side step negated my grap completely, no fun at all..

What a match against a Khorne team..very intense and close. I managed a 1-1 tie and finished 7th..a huge success for my first apes season.

Khorns BigGuy is horrible strong and it was tough to play against him and his frenzy guys. But my grap helps me alot to survive the sideline pushing war. His frenzy works well as a poor mans tackle against my dodge players and i was extremly lucky that his armor rolls stayed in a 3-6 areae :-) With his first small mistake and a nicly grab a got a shot on his ballcarrier and with the ball on the ground my extra arms kicked in and i scored first within my 8th turn. He had 4 ko'ed players and we starts 9 Khorne vs 10 Apes into the the second half. And now he starts to get very lucky on his rolls and my dices eat all my 4 rerolls at the start..so unter pressure my thrower throws the ball deep down but my gorilla doesnt catch it. But a tie was everything i needed to hit the playoffs and i want that the khorne starts a offense again and every block less on my helps to stay alive as a team.
So he picks up the ball and protects his ballcarrier and those 3-4 players stopps hitting my poor apes..but it was nuffle time an the other khorne players ripped my apes apart but luckly without any seriour injurties. I let him score and tried to protect my best apes on the field..so it was a really closed and good game and i got my 1-1 tie against a strong khorne team...

In the playoff there is a orc team waiting..and of course they can do everthing better then my apes and they have AV9 too...the only thing i can do better is picking up and catching the ball :(

I am able to start the next saison with a full ape team with an 1750 TV (And i still have the feeling they are just at the start :) ).
I added an extra lineape for having three Lineapes without any skills as my LoS fodder...

And like always, your feedback is more then welcome!!!

I had a nice game agains a Brettonia team. And this time my ST4 Blodge/Grab Gorillas drives my opponent mad. His Fend was nearly useless and i was able to hit some holes in his defense, always. My two runners were hunting his ball carrier and the raining weather was a good for us. The runners did a perfect job and they bring down the ball carrying knight three times and my No9 runner Sonni scores the 3 TD..my first hattrick! :D

After the 3:0 win my thrower gets Accurate, the runner No9 Sonni Tackle (*yes yes yes*) and a lineape with Block gets Fend. At this point i would say that the first skill choices all works perfekt but whats next?

I know that my Gorillas needs Guard BUT a ST 4 Blodge with Break Tackle is very handy or maybe all three?!?!?

Whats your opinion..which skills are next on the list up to a TV of 1900-2000??

Nope, i am rolling doubles only when i am fouling :D ..It was a houserule that you can spend some extra gold for skills..but we removed it now..it was a mistake tbh!

Gorilla's are Agility/Strength.

I'd go Mighty Blow or sidestep on the Gorillas.

Strip ball or jump up on the Chimps

Block or sure hands on the Orangutan.

Probably whatever I didn't take out of Tackle/fend on the Bonobos, though I would get one with kick and probably a dirty player in there too.

Silverback - Thick Skull or Juggernaut

Gorilla - Stand Firm

Chimpanzee - Sure Feet or Side Step

Orangutan - Sure Hands

Bonobo - FRENZY

Frenzy is great since you have so much Grab that setting up crowd surfs is relatively easy.

Best of luck and thanks for playing the Simyin!
