The latest copy of Citadel Journal - Number 48, for those keeping score at home - contains an article on offensive and defensive alignments. It's written by Andy Hall. Although geared to the beginner, it should prove useful for more than one veteran out there!

I was a little concerned about how andy deals with the wide outs. He leaves some players hanging in the wind, just waiting to be pushed out of bounds. A Block and a Blitz would on half of the defenses he listed about put the war of attrition at 10-11.

If you don't mind, please send me a scan of the article as well. (mrin_prophet@yahoo.com)

Also, can the Citadel Journal be purchased at most gaming stores in the US?

Thanks.

Just for the record, I'm not going to scan copyrighted material and send it around. Sorry to disappoint!

neo - i guess Andy is trying those begginers to stay that : begginers!! (Is he playing Resurrection?

I would love those publications to be sold around. But they have this stupid policy about not selling any material in english over here. ... we are losing the hype!

Yeah, I think Andy was a little lax regarding the sidelines. That said, his "Wall" defense is set up against running teams. My guess is that "running teams" are defined as "teams that go up the middle of the field instead of fighting the wings." Let's face it, if you were a running team like Orcs and you had to face a Wall composed of six Saurus and one Kroxigor, you'd badly stretch your game plan trying to crack open one side.

It's a good beginners article. I thought "The Deep" was pretty good. That defense certainly shows the value of the Leap skill.
