What a good way to start a day

I woke up at 5:45am today and decided that I would play the next match in my current BB PC game competition (The NBBL Cup) last match of the first round.

My Dwarves were TV 1.3M roughly (13 Players only a few skills amongst them - 2 Guard, 1 Mighty Blow and the Runner has Block and Tackle)

The Opposition were a lizardman team that had taken a pure battering on it's way to bottom of the table.

the Standing Roster was
Krox
1 Saurus
7 Skinks - 1 with Side step

he drew as Inducements
Silibili
a Saurus Merc
a Skink Merc

I had a blast playing against them with my Troll Slayers manning up against the Saurii and KO'ing them if they had the temerity to step back on the pitch.

Sillibilli was a handful with Guard and Standfirm but I kept him on his behind for most of the game whilst I used my Blitzes to take out one Skink per turn if I had a skink in range or setting up a X0X field position on another with 2 Blockers for a simple 2D Blcok next turn.

a 3-0 win was very easy. scoring with a Blitzer, a blocker and my Runner

TV is now 1.42M
I used my winnings and Treasury to buy my Deathroller.

In the next phase I face off against 2 Woodelf teams, 1 Orc, 1 Dwarf a Human team I beat in the previous Group and a Goblin team who are my next opponent.

More Crunchy AV7/6 to whet my appetite and the spiked gloves of my players. The Deathroller and the (now) 4 Guard linemen to take on his Trolls.

Should be a blast!

Against the AI?

I just started playing a Chaos team. Finished the first cup...had to face Grim Ironjaw I'd got so far ahead of the AI teams already. My mino has Juggernaut and Block, and I have a Sure Hands, Extra Arms Beastman. Oh uyeah...and a ST4 Beastman. 13 man plus apo roster. This after five games...TV1400 or so.

yeah, I would have felt a veneer of guilt had I started the day this way against a Human opponent.

Has anyone faced Morg yet in-game - I saw he was releaded in the latest patch.

My Dwarfs face humans next, so I guess it will be Griff AND Morg...

I thought they were still limited in-game to 1 Star, so maybe just Morg.

I've not seen him yet. I played against a team yesterday and they had more than enough inducements to buy him but the PC selected to just buy an extra reroll instead. I might just blow the cash and spend enough to induce him myself so I can see what he's like...

you wont get him in a campaign started before the patch.

latest competition started afterwards, so maybe I will see him on the Human team in a few matches time.

be interested to hear what people think of him in action though.

Bugger. My Middenheim Mustangs are the only team with enough cash to induce him and I've been playing those since I got the game

Have nearly completed 150 games with Dwarves now, 2 different teams

I am just about done with them for a while, I am keen to try one of the other teams and gave Lizards a try in a test match against the built Reavers. I was intrigued and enjoyed it despite losing 3 skinks to BH in the first 4 turns.

Goblins are an alternative for the fun of the weapons.

I guess that is my order.

Into the Playoff's of my 4 season in a Grandslam Championship Competition. In Match Day 1 I faced off against a Skaven team...

I have won all but 3 games in the 4 seasons (those I drew - all against wood elves).

But everything went right for this match.

I won 4-0 and 4-0 on casualties too. Including a one turn and a Blitz Kick Off result for a score on Turn 15.

My Turn 16 - last turn of the match, he had fumbled a pick up and the ball was between two players...

I had blocked a few players and done my blitz, but I had a longbeard in range and thought "What the hell" so I run over dodge in for a 6 (roll a 5 - reroll 6. Pick the ball up with a 6 and throw a long pass for a 6 then catch on a 5 to finish my turn with my most fabulous completion to date.

almost jumped around...
