why not a multiplayer version, but not before the release of the cyanide's new stuff.

Unless Cyanide/GW changed their stance that was mentioned before release no modding of the game is supported. Since they control the multiplayer aspect of the game as it is now I'd assume it would say you had the wrong version if you tried to connect.

even using conversion mod, online game do not allow custom rosters.
but using an IPdirect league manager, you can play what you want.
this way, florent28's BBLeagueManager give access to chaos dwarf (using a tiny version of conversion mod)

If you want custom rosters to play in a league versus your friends, use the Botocs client and play your league on Stunty Leeg
