In perpetual leagues it's more effective.
Play in Black Box for a while and you will face ClawPOMB teams most of times.
People play Clawpomb teams because they win in a perpetual environment and can mantain efficiency for more time than other kinds of teams, at the same time.

That's true but it is also irrelevant because they are the most popular races these days.

So it does make sense to choose that God out of the remaining 3. Also khorne are the only othe daemon team with existing fluff I believe.

I'm just interested to see if gw add this new race and underworld to their PDF. If they do then it makes them an official race, if not then it means cyanide is playing unofficial rules. I would love to know what involvement gw have had in designing it and if jj has been involved. Anyone got answers to these questions?

It's relevant in terms of what Matt was saying.

According to the Cyanide forums I believe GW have to at least okay any team.

While fair enough, i would also apply that logic to any of the 3 NAF sanctioned teams. Make the game work properly before making more problems. So, for me at least, the priority should be Chaos Dwarves, Inducements and bug fixes. Extra stadiums would be nice as well.

A Khorne team is an idea I can take or leave, if they're entertaining then rock on as long as they're not top tier.

I imagine the star players will be introduced in their own special edition personally.

I guess what few, or perhaps none, of us know is whether Cyanide have carte blanche to take their vidoe game in a different direction that GW may chose to take their board game. Is it the case that the two must match? Or is it possible that Cyanide will release rules for other races in future while GW ostensibly continues to ignore the game..

I'm just unsure what they can possibly do that isn't already in the game.

If you want to build a team that is all about killing it has been abudantly proved to be possible and viable on FUMBBL (though I did see one particularly infamous such team nearly lose to an absolutely dreadful Pact team last night). If you want a slightly different take on a Khorne team then take a Norse team and give all your players who don't have it Frenzy as their first skill. I'm actually half tempted to make that now...

We don't NEED a new roster. I was hoping it was just alt graphics.

Well there is one advantage of them creating a brand new team with lots of special rules.

If (when) they mess up the code for those rules they can just say it is supposed to be like that. :orc:

Do we know that the Khorne team will be available as a core addition? Or just in Blitz mode, where all sorts of crazy untested flights of Cyanide fancy have already been implemented and ignored by almost everyone?
