New versions, new rules?
Hello all. I'm not entirely a newbie to BB, played quite a bit back in college (YEARS ago...). Anyway, I've come accross a complete box set which appears to be 3rd edition but the most current edition is 4th I believe.
What I want to know is how far behind are 3rd edition rules? Is there somewhere to order/download/etc. the 4th edition rules or at least find out what changes have been made. Are there any other differences between the 3rd and 4th edition box sets?
Just wondering if this "deal" is really a deal.

the 3rd ed rules are pretty far behind.
you can download the most current rules here http://www.specialist-games.com/bloodbo ... bbok_b.htm
and there are some FAQ's and the most recent rules changes on the very same site

Thanks for the warm welcome and the update. After looking around a bit, maybe it's 4th ed.? What's the 4th ed box look like?

it was late yesterday, bad reply from me..
The curent version is best described as 5th edition.
4th edition existed in two magazines
the fersion in the box is probabely th. Note that in the meantime this edition has been updated once, per the rules as found on that BB page
again .. welcome back home!

Thanks for all of the input. I have a sealed 3rd ed. box set enroute to my home as we speak. I have also downloaded and printed out a copy of the "Living Rulebook" (now I understand the LRB refernces in some posts!). In the end, I just wanted to make sure that at least the bits and baubbles in the 3rd ed. were current.
I've been reading through the LRB and downloaded the JavaBowl client to get a feel again for how things worked. I'll play the supplied Orks for a while, but I think my heart lies with the Gobbos. What can I say? I like that squish sound, even if it's coming from my own team! Thanks again for all the help.
Always rememba'...
