Rules Question

Post by ozarkmoose »

My friend and I were playing a game today and a question arose. My lineman was 6 spaces away from his catcher and I declared a blitz. I moved 5 spaces and then said I was "Going for it" to move the extra space. He claimed that I had to roll twice, once to move the 6th space and once to make the blitz. Please help me to strighten this mess out.
Thank you for your time.

Your friend was right.
It allways cost you a square of ma to execute the blck in a blitzaction. so if you lack the ordinary movement to do it, you have to GFI to do so.

Basically you are paying for the square of movement that you get from being able to follow up ... this is why it costs 1 square of movement to throw the block.
