New domains ... automatic update for links?

Ian,

as most of the links in this forum are currently broken, would it be possible to make an automated run through the database of the forum to change part of the links in posts to the new domians enforced by the C&D letters and the change of phpBB?

So change "http://www.talkfantasyfootball.org/" to "http://www.talkfantasyfootball.org/"
and maybe "www.midgardbb.com" to "www.midgardbb.com"
and "www.thenaf.net" to "www.thenaf.net".

I'm not sure if this would work directly via SQL, but a short PHP script could do the job i think.

Good idea. I've made this sticky as a "to do" reminder to me since it does require a bit of work.

If anyone knows MySQL and can provide me with the SQL to do a search and replace across a mediumtext column would be appreciated - otherwise I'll have to look it up!

Actually I've done this and am now reindexing the search to see if its okay.

Given that Tim's post now makes no sense I'd guess that worked then
