Help with Setup - Formation - Plays

Post by ChenZhen »

I've been trying to find help with this. I apologize if my search skills are lacking! :D

I've been playing for a bit now, and have a good sense of general play, but I don't feel that confident with how to set up on kick offs.

I know that there is a lot of thought that some people put into their kick off and receiving formations, but is there anyplace that you could direct me to get some help on the strengths and weakness of various formations?

I'm trying to get better, and I feel that this is one of the areas that I need to get a better handle on.

I'm still trying out a bunch of teams, so general advice is welcome, as would any team specific thoughts!

I'd be appreciative for any help.

search Mattgslaters entries. he did a thread called
Common defensive setups it runs to8 pages and reads like astro physics to me but there are things for us normal humans.
then try ziggurat formation.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Looks like the play creator page is down.

BBtactics has been a HUGE help in getting a feel for the game. I have looked around the site quite a bit.

No one tell Heff that I'm painting a dwarf team right now and in looking to get a CD team next!

Not down, but killed by bills.
play-creator.com has shut down due to ever-increasing traffic and hosting costs

OMG another one! Powergamer. May you be blessed with skulls and your opponents roll nothing but 12.

actually I don't mind CD's at all and they are if anything tougher than dwarves.
Dwarves are boring beardy cheese.
