Why do we place dead players in the Dead & Injured box???
...as opposed to just removing them from the game area entirely?
Would there be any specific reason a player HAS to remain in the game area once he's died?
I ask this as I'm customising a blood bowl field and was about to label the Dead & Injured box but then paused and considered that it could just be labelled INJURED.
Thoughts???

In game terms it helps keep track of CAS's, which may come into play during league or tournaments i.e. players stood up in D&I box = CAS 'for SPP', player laid down in D&I = CAS from something else but not counting for stats. A player removed from play but not in D&I is often used for a player that has been Sent Off rather than died. However, whether the box is labelled Dead and Injured, D&I, Injured, RIP, Morgue or whatever you like doesn't really make much difference.

Thanks for the response, Loki. That makes sense. I knew there probably would a reason.
As for the terminology, that's me being a pedant to myself.

Frankly, I don't think it means anything at all. This game is all about the fluff. As an opponent or even as a passerby, there's nothing like looking at the other bench and seeing the littered corpses that are the fruits of your labor. If you are making your own pitch, maybe the better thing to do is to instead make gravestones and have those placed on the field to show which players were killed. That would be entertaining!

It's so you can gloat to spectators about the players you've killed & injured!

Haha thank you all for the colourful feedback.
I went with INJURED and happy to leave it at that - not so much me making a pitch as have a printed one customised for me.
The gravestones are a nice touch though, mzukerman. Might look into that.

Thanks, it's inspired me too. I think I'll make some out of fimo.
