armour values

when you are rolling for your armour value save do you roll 2d6 and it has to equal or beat the armour value or do you have to get less then the armour value?

You have to beat the armour, so for AV 8 you need to roll 9 on 2d6.

Actually, having re-read your question, I think you might be alittle confused.

The coach who knocks down the player rolls to try and break armour, so for example, if I knocked down your Norse lineman (AV7) I want to roll 8+, while you're hoping for a 7 or less.
