My New Chaos Stuff - On the way!!

Post by Troy Spiral »

Well,

I won a bid on the BB boxed set (rules & such) and its on its way.

I called my local game store and ordered:

Chaos Team
3 Extra Beastmen
BB Mag 10

Told me it should be there by friday.

QUESTIONS:

1. Shouldnt i have a head coach figure?
Apocarthy?

2. Do these figs even exist??

No you don't have to have a Head Coach figure or Apothicary, but they look Kool with the team.

I generally have a Head Coach, Apothicary and some figure carrying a Flag, Banner or Musical Instrument.

Head Coach is the Turn Marker.
Apothicary is in the Dugout to remind me I have one.
The last figure I use for a Score marker.

Wizard figure or Special Character for Warhammer Fantasy are good for Coaches.

@ Troy - Head coach and apoth

Depends on wheter you're intending to play in a GW/rules lawyer league. The LRB says you should have the approiate painted figures, but the only time I've seen that enforced was at the BloodBowl tournament in Nottingham this year. It wasn't enforced in our home league, or the 2 independednt tourneys I went to this year.

So GW insist on a Head Coach and Apoth figure? Sure I can see that they should insist on figs for all the players..... but not for coaching staff!

You mean, like ever putting out a rookie bull centaur figure? Don't hold your breath.

Check "Coaching Staff" on page 17 of the LRB. This was supposedly enforced at the BB, though no-one ever asked me if I had the correct models.

I think this one was introduced in reaction to the poor co-operation levels of GW's "Coaches Tithe 10% of their income' rule.

Ok so basicly...

Rarely if ever does anyone give a damn if you have any of the "off board figures"

Extreem... im not sure that "the store" is getting it in the sense that they are getting it as a regular order.

Brandon (the guy that owns the store) has been known to get all sorts of crap that isnt really "out in the USA yet". I never talked to him about it though.

Hell, who knows maybe he just said "yeah i can get that for ya" without really knowing that 10 isnt the current one in the us yet...

Great model for a chaos apothecary is one of the old chaos familiars.
The one with the cowl 4 arms and a beak is my favorite. Looks a bit like the death of rats :D
