Hey everyone from tiptoe (and the others)

So lets take a look at this great tourney and the question is:
Should we ,next time , changed something about the spp?
for my own opinion:

Pass=1spp exept if it is the last turn to get spp....

Intercept: I say yes, only 2 Intercept during the tournament! It is not only throwing a 6 or 5, it is putting his player in the way of the ball(just in case of...)

Draw: A draw should may be give 2pts

Here are some proposal, what you think about it?

For interception,
I agree with you, cos when throwing you must take care of interception (especially elves with catch

).
For the other things, what would be the result with your calculation way ?

I intercepted Longfangs beautifull pass with my incredible agile mummy. Longfang should have seen that coming..... and therefore didn't deserve the win in the end. My mummy should have got massive spp's for this action.....

I still want to see DW's calculations for the tourney. A draw should be awarded. Maybe a win should be awarded by TD difference. Losses by 1 TD might score some points as well.

How about
Draw 5 points.

Win, 1 TD+ 7 points
Win, 2 TD+ 9 points
Win, 3 TD+ 11 points

Loss, 1 TD- 4 points
Loss, 2 TD- 3 points
Loss, 3 TD- 2 points

A computer can easily work this out.

Awarding points for interceptions and Compl...... I still don't know???

This is the tournament scoring system we hammered out for the WPS tournaments. Before you ask - yes, these have been extensively playtested in both laboratory and tournament conditions. They were the result of a good year and a half of (heated) argument, discussion and tournament playtesting and ensure that each coach can play their natural game and still expect to finish top of the heap if they play their best:

Winning a game: 16 points
Drawing a game: 11 points
Losing a game: 7 points
Bonus to the Victor if there is a 2 point or greater TD difference: +1 point
Bonus if 2 or more casualties are inflicted by your team: +1 point
Bonus for a clean sheet (ie: no touchdowns scored against you): +1 point
Bonus to the Victor if there is a 3 point of greater TD difference (in addition to the bonus for 2 points or greater: +1 point
Penalty if you lose by 2 or more TDs: -1 point
Penalty if you score no TDs: -1 point

Maximum points for a game, then, are 20 points - for a 3-0 whitewash or better ( 4-0 *cough* ) With 2 or more casualties.

A Woodelf or skaven team that won 4-1 would do as well as a dwarf team that won 2-0 and picked up a couple of casualties so playing styles are fairly evenly balanced.

Points are very much skewed towards winning games so the top places should be occupied by people who won most, if not all, of their games, with the winners being those players who really stamped their authority on their games.

This scoring system has been shown in the past to ensure all players are able to play their natural style, and has proven its ability to pick the best coaches of the tournament for the winner's podium.

Well, the res format got Longfang a second place so I think we knew it was broken already

I'll just have to make do with being the only player to win four games. I'll get my revenge at the Blood Bowl or Tulip2K3...
