Thanks everyone for a great tournament. I had alot of fun with my muffins :) Event though i could have easily made one more td my last game, giving me 2 more points, and advancing a bit further in the list. But ofcourse, geniously, I opted to throw my halfing ballholder in my 7th turn out of sheer coolness, instead of lettin him sprint for one more turn, into the td-zone. Ofcourse, he wasnt so cool when my ogre fumbled, and since it was a pro it fumbled twice, and my half. fell to the ground.

Thad: I forgot to give you my paper-sheet for the NAF! :) Ofcourse i wanna be Naf, and also make the halmicon-tournament a NAF-tournament. Suggestions?

It was extremely exciting, even though the curse hit me over the head with a hammer quite a few times... Boy, do I want a rematch!
Maybe at NarCon later this year?

Just go through the website to sign up. Let me know what your user name at NAF is and we'll forget that yo signed up a little late.

As long as you have a visa card it shouldn't be any problem.

All the people I signed up should recieve an introductory email soon as your payments and id's have been entered.

I wouldn't change it at all. It all worked very well IMO...

We just have to concentrate on getting more guys down next year.

I think it all went very smooth. Good, concise and short info beforhand, and not much dispute on anything while in play. 2 hours a game wasnt a problem atall, though I thought it would be. So dont change a winning concept. :) Next year we might see an Ogre team, so maybe not awarding too many points for cas would be a good idea ;)

And your wrong Thadrin, what we have to concentrate on is getting more guys UP next year. :)

Oh, a suggestion would be to make the fluff competition separate from the ordinary competition. Good paintjobbs, cool convertions, and stuff like that is important, but I dont think it should matter in the SM-competition of Blood Bowl, but be a separate competition. Maybe anyways. :)

Actually I did make a seperate list without the "fluff" and still the same 4 teams in semi-final. So the fluff had nothing to do with winning the tournament. Is it really important if you get 9th, 11th or 13th place as long as you have no shot at the play-off?

One player had an unpainted team. I had to penalize him in some way. :)

I'll try to get some "chess clocks" to next year. That will change the game a bit I think.

Thanks for the input. More?

As long as Ogres are official in may 2004 the will be allowed. I doubt it but we'll see.

BB tournament at HalmiCon in two weeks... talked to the arranger and hes gonna copy these rules straight off. Btw what star players were you gonna allow the goblins?

Oh and on a personal note i think ties should be worth more than losses with 1td... not much, but a small difference.

Thanks everyone for a great time, even though I wish I'd performed better...

Welcome to SydCon end of July beginning of Aug. I'll try to make it to HalmiCon.

YES! :)

I'm sure we could have come up with a variety of other ways.

I think it worked without. Don't put clocks on the table until they're really needed.

And I also think a draw should be worth more than a 1TD loss. It just feels better that way.

Reventlov, I'd like the result-file sent to puckohue@hotmail.com

Thanks everyone for a great tournament! :D

I had my funniest "Christ flying weekend" ever. The only sorrow was that I didn´t manage to win the semi-final, but what the heck, better luck next year. :) I wonder why Wood Elf armour are so hard to break?

I agree with Thadrin about not changing a winning concept! I think the swiss system is the way to go with tournaments, and Reventlov, don´t change the awarding of points. (And that have nothing to do with me going to the semi-finals 8) ). If chessclocks should be used, each player should have 1 hour to dispose under the match.

Probably I don´t manage to show up with my undeadly crunch of hardhitting blood bowlers in HalmiCon  (but there is a slight chance).

May you all roll "POW"´s!

Johan
