Follow the A689 all the way in to Hartlepool centre (straight over EVERY roundabout you encounter and straight through EVERY set of traffic lights - obviously except the last one.... see below).

You'll go over a roundabout that has a McDonalds on the right, then at the second set of traffic lights after this turn left (Wilkinson's Dept store on the left at the lights - and so is the infamous Jaxx!), then take the first right turn. Go about 200 yards and you're there! Couldn't be easier!!!
Thanks! Those directions are so clear even I might not get lost. :)

Cheers

Panico wrote:PS. I just discover a great thing about Hartlepool: some of the locals (Bren? Geoff?) absolutely have to bring me in Croft Terrace and take me a picture with this "guy" !!!!
What a liar! :o

I phoned him yesterday to tell him to go and have a photo with that statue... and now he tells the world he made the discover! :pissed:

Anyway, that's my fault, I forgot the Horse Club 2nd rule: never trust Panico!

Thanks to my opponents, Brendan and all the helpers for a great weekend! :) Got to play against loads of tournament stalwarts and met plenty more.

Congrats to Luke on his win. A well deserved one if our match was anything to go by! :D

Cheers

Just like to add my thanks to Brendan and the other organisers.

I have not played BB much in the last 2 years and this tournament has re-kindled an interest which had fizzled due to GW lack of support, rapidly changing rules, and marriage!

I have played 6 games, really enjoyed every single one, met loads of great people (including other maths teachers- somewhat unexpected!), and simply had a great time!

For those who I 'warned'- I am still not yet a father, I'll let you know when the happy day arrives (or more likely, a couple of days after  )

I'd love to be able to thank my opponents by name, but I'm (a) rubbish with names and (b) not organised enough to write things like this down, but they were all great people and good sports (and tolerant of someone a bit vague about the LRB5 rules!).

In case anyone is interested, I won two, drew one and lost three, but enjoyed them all.

Hope to be back next year, and when I move to Gateshead later in the year I'll get in touch with you Newcastle-based folks.

Thanks all!

Tomba

Edit: made the total of games add up to six. Don't give up the day job?

Great weekend and echo the thanks to Pippy, Smee and Ste for the work they did. Top stuff.

Well done Luke (Blitzwing) and for me it I really enjoyed playing some guys I have never played before - Gsot and Ambush etc. But to play Panico after all these guys was great... although I must admit, I robbed him of a win and got a draw which I did not look like getting.

And well done to Stick - the Watermonkey champ!

Was a great tournament to be at, Pippy, Smee and Ste ran things really well and it was fun on and off the pitch. Am relieved to have survived my first encounter with a parmo, it was interesting

Playing Joemanji and PubBowler for the 1st time was fun, their both top blokes, and was good to get to play Panico, Lycos and Leon again. If Panico ever tries to teach you how to cage up, remember Horse Club 2nd rule.

Great torni again, thanks to Bren, Schmee and Ste. Will defo be back next year.

Stunties are awesome fun, they suck, but are awesome fun. First attempt at them and took the stunty cup, expect to give it another crack with flings at the GT I had that much fun with them.

A big thanks to Geoff for not knowing anything about football and not listening to me that Manure would not beat middlesborough on the Sunday and promptly giving me £20 after the final whistle, I was very drunk last night on your money

Great weekend, thanks to all the organisers & my opponents and congrats to the winners.

Hadn't played any of my opponents before (first time meeting for most of them as well) which I particularly enjoyed.

Particular congrats to Stick for the Watermonkey.

I'll be there next yr (but maybe not in the caravan!).

Meh........whoever said Dwarfs are broken must be lying!!! :P

40th out of 46 with Dwarfs is a poor showing but i had an awesome time! Great to play 6 coaches id never played before with some memorable results such as the Dwarven passing play against Candlejack and his face as the longbeard went scurrying downfield clutching the ball.....and pretty much everything that happened in my final game vs Hangus was amusing!

Great tourney, grats to the lads that ran the tourney. Safe to say i will definately be back next year for more watermonkey fun, whether or not its with Dwarves.....we shall see.
