Spoke to rodders about this, so we'd like to see what you guys think, last year we tryed something with the 4 min rule, didn't really work so this year we're trying something new.

OK, to try and get games to finish on time and to stop players from stalling we will run a points system that will give you less points if the game does not finish in the time allowed.

So as an example 1 point for a loss outside of the time allowed, 2 for a loss in, 5 for a draw, 8 for a win outside and 10 for a win in. This will not be the scoring on the day just an example for you

please let us know what you think, also the timing of the event will be as most events not that firm, but some games just dont every look like finishing(looking at you jim :D ) and this is still up for debate and not yet in the rues pack.

cheers

Dave,

I like the idea, it always seems a little unfair when games have to be cut short, but not sure it should be in the game points, possibly used as tie breaker?

Jim

PS: At Poo Bowl finished 6 out of 7 games, I blame Tritex for the exception.

Personally I don't like it.

A fast player could get punished through no fault of their own if they're playing a snail.

Not really fair mate...

If each PLAYER was timed, and found to go over say, an hour, they could be docked points accordinly.

Obviously without chess clocks thats quite hard to accomplish

The snail would be put out as well, i guess you'd have to be a bit of a prick to stop someone from taking the points.
