Magic Roundabowl, Swindon, Wilts, UK - 20th Sept 08

Post by sann0638 »

Hi,

two BB clubs in Calne and Swindon are joining forces to host a one-day BB tourney on Saturday 20th September in Swindon, near the Magic Roundabout. Only 2 games due to the availability of the venue.

Not NAF sanctioned unfortunately, as too little notice.

We're expecting entry to cost £4 for the day. The provisional schedule is as follows:
Start: 10am
Round 1: 10.30 am to 12.30
Lunch: 12.30 to 1.30
Round 2: 1.30 to 3.30
Awards: 4.00 to 4.30
Close: 4.30

10 people coming from the 2 clubs - the more the merrier!

Cheers,

Mike

Are you in the running for the wild card slot?

To clarify, it's probably going to be a two game event due to time constraints. :o(

I would be interested, but, to be honest, two games is hardly worth the trek. Sorry guys...hopefully you might run a two dayer in the future!!!

I have to agree with Martin. Two games is hardly worth the journey. A two-dayer at another time would be more appealing.

It sounds fun but 2 games dosent leave alot of scope for picking a winner. Throw in the NAF rankings thingy and its not so much a tournament as a couple of random games - which is nice but not as appealing.

I'm still thinking :)

Why not put it back 8 weeks(end of October - November is quite quiet in the UK), get three (or more games in) and get it NAF sanctioned?

OP changed.

Fair enough all - I thought we had the venue for longer, but c'est la vie. Will see how this one goes and try to organise another later on!

Anyone local who fancies a couple of games in a nice venue, more than welcome :D
