DREAM TEAM CUP V | 21st and 22nd February |2009 Spain

On 21st and 22nd February , V Dreams Team Cup returns.

It will take place in Catarroja (Valencia, Spain), at the city Sports center. It´s the same place as the past year, it´s about 15 minutes by car to Valencia.

TOURNAMENT RULES

A 5 players team, each player race must be different from his/her fellow team members ( you can´t have 2 skaven o 2 Undead race in the same team), Every coach has 1.000.000 golden coins to create his team (TR 100). After each round you can assign a simple skill, the skill selected between round 3 and 4 may be a double skill (it includes mutations), you can´t modify the stats (ST, AG, MV or AR). Players who mutate normaly can do it (mutate xD).
There is no need to have painted teams, but they have to represent clearly each figure (you can´t use mummy as golems, for example).

TEAM FORMATION

A Coach Team must have 5 players who can be from every place in the world. Be part of a league, a nacional team or 5 people who doesn´t meet each one. Only requirements for each team are: they must have a TEAM NAME and they have to be made up of 5 bloodbowl players. Team Names have to be easy recognized, name a captain who will act as team spokesman.

Coach team can be made up to 6 players, but only 5 of them will play each round. Before each round you can select who of them will play, of course all players must belong to the same team from the begining. Although you can change coach place, you can´t change the race of the team.

INSCRIPTION
Only problem in this kind of tournies is that the team number must be even, and like we want you to play as many as possible we allow to register all people who wants, and in case there will be an odd number of coach teams, last one will not take part in the tournament. Once the coach team list is closed, we will not accept any other admision, so we expect you to enroll as quicky as possible.

From a date which will be announced with 15 days in advance, Coach Teams will enroll in pairs numbers. So we can avoid the odd teams situation from that date, if a coach team will be interested in registering, it must wait to another coach team being interested appears.

A coach team is registered when they have confirmed their attendance and have paid the fee.

The rulebook used is the LRB5. New races: Underworld, Chaos Pact and Slann are valid.



TOURNAMENT RULES

Swiss type tournament. 4 games on Saturday and other 2 on Sunday.

To get the coach team score, it will be the sum of every member ( 2 points for winning, 1 for the draw, 0 for loosing) .



TOURNEY WINNER

After the 6th round, Coach Team with more points will be the Champion, the second team with more points the subchampion, and so. Tie breaker: (Total touchdown difference x 1.5) + (Total casualties difference);.In case of another tie, the coach team with more Touchdowns wins.



SIXTH ROUND

As the last year, You can Play “THE CHALLENGE”. There is no order to challenge , captain´s team will comunicate organizators (JOANET & FROST) their “challenged” team. Paired teams will be announced as they will happen, later “the challenges” will be thrown by/to each captain`s team (you can be so rude with each other as you can but it is forbidden to split or bite Wink ). There is no need to defying any team, but you would have to accept any. At least you have to play with some team so better with the one you choose. The purpose of “the challenge” is smoothing things over, solving little past rows, revenging past defeats and play bloodbowl while you drink your beer/coke/water.

SECOND CLASSIFIED TEAM

MOST VIOLENT TEAM: prize is for all 5 team members, but as sure there will be the most violent member (who contributes with more CAS) , prizes will vary among the partners.

MOST SCORER TEAM: as CAS but with the TD’s.

”WOOD SPOON” TEAM: Last classified team surprise prize.

As well as a lot of individual prizes and rafflings of a LOT of prizes.

Prizes are not acumulative, so if the championship winner gets the most violent prize too, that prize will go to the second clasificated in that category, and so on. In case of tie in number of CAS’s or TD’s, the winner will be the better clasificated team..


ABOUT TIME AND ILLEGAL PROCEDURES

If any of the teams want them, illegal procedures are valid, they are part of the game and we don’t get angry for them. We except not to use “4 minute turn” rule, but you can use it if any team wants.

IN ROUNDS 3 & 5 (after having lunch on Saturday and first one on Sunday), IF ANY TEAM IS LATE, PRESENT TEAM MAY CLAIM TO START THE MATCH.

Organizers believe that a punctual team would have not be penalized by time game later. Anyway, it’s a decissions team to apply this rule.



ABOUT ORGANIZERS

This year, there will be more organizers and none will play tournie, so you can ask us any doubt, question o suggestion that you have, they are welcome. If there is any player without team who wants to play, get in touch with the organizers, there is always place for freebotters, and they are always necessary.
In advance, we want to thank your attendance, to our sponsor AVALÓN and our NAF TO Doc Drak, who always is ready to get new NAF members for the cause. We expect this Edition will be at least as good as the past one, or better if possible. We had 124 participants, the last year´s biggest tournament in Spain. Are you sure you don´t want to Play?.
