White Isle Star Bowl - Results (incorrect)

Post by tiamo69 »

Hi Pete;

got home & checked the results sheet & realised that my results are wrong.

doesn't affect top 5 but i should be on 8th or possibly 7th, depending upon which of my results was recording back to front.
please update the results before final publication & prior to sending them to the NAF.

I was W4/D0/L2 over the weekend, so i should be on 12 points.

i'll pm you my results but i lost my 1st 2 games & then won the last 4.

was the last game result against Belafon input back to front?

I won 2-1 TD / 3-0 Cas...?

Cheers,

Phil (Tiamo69)

well the necros took Wilhelm Cheney and he acted like a big erm whats the word im looking for ....... distraction.

2-0-4 for the tourney, maybe 3 werewolves and 2 rerolls wasnt that clever but MB werewolf certainly helped to bring home the most cas award - to go with the 2007 Carrot crunch one :D

Thanks to all i played plus those i met and talked to over the weekend hope to see you at the next tourney i can convince the better half i need to attend ;-)

Great tourney and looking forward to next year ;-)

LOL @ Grumbledook!

Ma's Mighty Brewers (Burtun's Finest) Chaos Pact took Bomber Dribblesnot.

Bomber proved useful & thanks to the Pact's survivability & ability to drag out a drive, he generally stayed on the pitch for around 5-6 turns.
Only ever played a few matches against Bombers & always found that i'd been able to catch & throw them back (sometines having 4-5 rallies).
However, i found that dropping the bomb 1 square in front of your target/s, generally knocked at least 1 player over & that including several big Star Players including Morg n Thorg. Putting the Star Players on their backs certainly helped even up the lack of skills on the Pact Team. :)

If i'd known he was now on the Pact list, i might've taken the old Chaos All Star 'Lewdgrip Whiparm'?

But, in the end, happy with how the Team played out over over the weekend.
(even with the fun of playing with all those Negative Traits!)

Rawrrrrrr! Underworld!

Fabulous tournament. I really enjoyed the plethora of stars and skills, the ruleset seemed to work very nicely indeed. The folk were ok too, I guess they didnt put me off coming next year if there is a next year.

Big thanks to Pete, Sue(ze? I cant spell :/), and Fi(ona?). Great job guys :D

Edit: actually not spelling/knowing peoples names looks terrible, maybe I should stick to "Mrs Phil" and "Ms Goo" when forum posting. Appologies :/

Maverick;

great meeting a fellow Necro Player & local-ish lad.

With those 3 Werewolves, you were definitely feeling "The Need... The Need For Speed!"
I'm just glad i was able to hamstring them, especially Wilhelm!

Also, forgot to say, glad you didn't know i played Necro's until after the match was played!

Cheers petew and the gang (yes phil, your the game) for an ace weekend. Really enjoyed the star player thin; a really nice dynamic that ensured 6 games played in a different style.

A dead certain for next year!

Cheers to Pete, stellar stuff. Thanks to Spubb for sorting out the cool dice as well. I look forward to seeing Sticky's pretty Chaos! Grats to all of the winners.

I think my next Goblin outing will be a long while away (perhaps defending the Stunty Cup next year), but they were manic, silly fun, if super frustrating. Grand weekend in all, thanks to everyone I played and had a laugh with.

All thanks unnecessary for us anyway - Pete's the man and we enjoyed the odd bit we did.

Mumbo - that's the joy of Pact!

My first 2 games i had awful die rolls:
G1 against Kfoged's High Elves (7 Skills, honestly Pete! If you apply that logic, Pact should have been Tier 4!) lost 0-1, 1-2 on Cas.
should have been 1-1 or even 2-1 to the Pact but die rolls failed within reach of End zone twice & HE's extra skills allowed them to steal.
G2 against Jeeves Humans, lost 0-3, 1-1 Cas. But Rob will freely admit, this game should have been 1-1, except for 2 gift horse Chaos turns...

I'd been using POO & NAF Die for 1st 2 games, then swapped to original BB Die & won my last 4 Games. :D

Bomber was very useful, helping to put Lemf's morg on backside, Maverick's Chaney & Belafon's Snow Troll!
found short pass bomb drops in front of oppo's feet worked an absolute treat!

doubt you'll ever win a tourney with Pact, far too many negative traits, but they were fun too play, even though there so damn frustrating!

Pete:

think i've already said this but, thanks for organising an excellent tourney (think a few tweaks are required to the odd team in the Tiers), thanks to your lovely assistant (didn't catch her name) & big thanks to Effe for stepping in & playing Table 20.

Had my most enjoyable game of weekend playing with her & almost helped her to bag a TD near end of game.
Ended up winning 3-0, 2-0 Cas but would have been happy drawing with her, as we had such a laugh at the joys & misfortunes of Pact.
Personally, i think she may have blessed the team to play better on Sunday!
