Cranfield Tourney

Post by Tamper Magnitude »

I'm competin in a five way Mini-Tourney this weekend, the teams are

1) Cheeslords (TR220 Human)
2) Metallic Justice (TR210 Dwarf)
3) Bigman's Bigmen (TR190 Halflings)
4) Grishnaks Yobbos (TR201 Orcs)
5) Atrocity Rovers (TR227 Chaos)

Cheeselords are the big favourites, with the wooden spoon likely to go to Atrocity Rovers or the Bigmen. I'll post results and any events after the event. The deciding factor could be who is the least hungover Saturday :D

Right, results are in. It all went rather well, we hired out a room at Cranfield Institute in Silsoe, Beds and played most of Saturday and Sunday morning, and surprisingly, the Chaos team Atrocity Rovers emerged top of the table, having won 3 and drawn 1 of their games.

Results

Cheeselords 1-2 Metallic Justice
Grishnaks Yobbos 2-1 Bigmans Bigmen

Bigmans Bigmen 0-3 Atrocity Rovers (0-10 Casualties!)
Grishnaks Yobbos 1-1 Metallic Justice

Bigmans Bigmen 0-9 Cheeselords (!)
Grishnaks Yobbos 0-2 Atrocity Rovers

Cheeselords 2-1 Grishnaks Yobbos
Metallic Justice 1-1 Atrocity Rovers

Cheeselords 0-2 Atrocity Rovers
Metallic Justice 3-0 Bigmans Bigmen (14-0 Casualties!)

Final Table
1) Rovers 10 pts
2) Justice 8 pts
3) CheeseLords 6 pts (very disappointing)
4) Yobbos 4 pts
5) Bigmen 0 pts

In the end the Rovers novel tactic of hammering the opposition and running the ball up the pitch proved too much for everyone. The Cheeslords failed to live up to hype, losing twice to lower rated teams. The Bigmen were thrashed utterly in every game, hindered by only 1 treeman turning up for the first half the whole tourney (and he got killed by a death roller!).
