Dungeon Cup Germany 2017 - A full Dungeon Bowl Tournament

Post by Glorian Underhill »

Currently in the planning phase are two german Dungeon Bowl Tournaments using the Adelaide Dungeon Bowl Cup rules.

This Thread is to gather players up front who would be interested and get some input.
As we want to get at least 10 Players for our first Tournament.

Also the Tournament in November will be a test if the final Round of THE DUNGEONBOWL Major Tournament will use the Adelaide rules. The final Dungeon of THE DUNGEONBOWL will stay as it is. Also the rest of the Tournament will stay as it is.

More information in english:
http://www.dungeonbowl.com

Tournaments will be one in winter, one in February 2016 in Braunschweig (central germany). More infos when the dates are set.

Basic informations:
Over the last five years in Adelaide the Afoul League runs the Adelaide Dungeon Bowl Tournament. Using their own Dungeon Bowl rules. The original Rules werent altered, they are a complete new approach. And in my oppinion they look quite good.

Quick rule summary:
Transporter Rules have been changed, lost-in-warp turns into knock out, push on transporter doesn't lead to injury, jumping with the ball on a transporter leads at 4+ to the ball transporting the ball into another destination than the holding player.

Knockouts revive on 6+, All players tested per turn until one wakes up, then revive phase stops.

Reserves can enter play through transporters or from the doors. Blitzing if needed.

Crowdpushes turned into stab-wall-pushes

Pass rules are: no flipping of the wall passes, Long Pass, Long Bomb possible

The dungeon is a modular one, with one of 11 random dungeons chosen directly before the Round. One game last at most 50 Minutes, and several TDs are possible. Time and Score will be determined to end a game. Complete annihilation of opponent leads to victory. 5 Games per day are easily possible.

550.00 gc for Team building, official teams to choose from the CRP. 6 Players minimum. No ReRolls and a set of Special Play Cards for 10.000 gc each to spend odd sums.

Special Play Cards since three years in playtesting and now balanced.
Tournament will stand on the NAF Page, but if the games will be ranked will be decided by the NAF variant committee in November.

Dungeons are currently under construction by DoccMaxx, Jonny_Kanone and me.

If there is interest by any player we could provide you with casted rooms for your own Dungeon. But only after we have finished our minimum number of Dungeons.
-------------------------------------

So most of the above will be used as written.
What we now need is information if someone would be willing to show up and how we could implement Skill distribution as these weren't tested in Adelaide, but they would be fun. And it gives the players some way of customization.

As the tournament will most likely be a five round one day event. Skill distribution should be planned for five games.

Also if you would like a one day five Game tourney or a two day 10 games tourney.

Re: Planing a Dungeon Bowl Tournament five rounds in a Dunge

And an update:

The Blood Bowl Variants have now their own Rulesets as PDFs downladable at the NAF site.
http://www.thenaf.net/blood-bowl/variants/

Dungeon 7s

Games in these Variants will be registered and put into the games database, but currently there is no display on Races and Teams played in each of these Variants. Sometimes in the Future there will be a ranking for each of the Variants and each Race with the corresponding players.

So you can be the Red Lantern in Blood Bowl, but the Star in Dungeonbowl. :D

Full Matchreport with Pictures follow the Link.

So for the planning of the first European full Dungeonbowl Tournament in Germany we will use these rules as linked by the NAF.
Alas there is currently a testphase in our league to change the time based checkpoints to be turned into a turnbased ruleset which is easier for newcommers to handle and play turns. Also the moment when to determine when to score a TD is easier to identify when you can see what turns are played and when the KOs come back instead of watching at the clock and trying to squeezy more or less turns in.

Dungeons can be ordered by a printing company and we have started production of our own Dungeons again.
Link to the Printing Company who print them on mousepad material:

Use the code Ship30 to get free international shipping on orders over $30.
Also the Dungenbowl Special Play Cards can also be ordered there.
For The Tournament we have several Sets ready.

Pictures of the Mousepad Board and Special Play Cards.

So stay Tuned:
Date for the Tournament will be in Q2 2017 near Braunschweig/Wolfsburg in Germany.
One Day Tournament, 5 Games, Get there, get prices, get home.
Official Announcement in December 2016, also then the Tournament will be added to the Norddeutsche Blood Bowl Meisterschaft for 2017.
