Already 14 signed up coaches, now from 4 different countries.
We have been close before, will we hit 50 this year!?

Well, it's starting to look like an invasion from Finland by now.
9 of the 29 registrations are Finns!
Only 2 Danes? Come on guys! And where are the Norwegians eh?

I guess we get to discuss this over a beer (or a foul) in Bergen, in September!Mago wrote:Well, it's starting to look like an invasion from Finland by now.

Two questions please:
How are language barriers handled between coaches?
and
If I were to attend from Scotland, would anybody from Stockholm be able to let me stay with them Fri - Mon? There's nothing I can do about how much the flights cost so I would be grateful for anything to make the accommodation cheaper!
Cheers, -Mike

I'm not involved in the organisation of the tournament, but I do't think there will be a language barrier.Mike_Rushby wrote:Two questions please:

I'm sure that everyone speaks english at a level on which a conversation could be had.
I'll leave the second question for Ozt or Mago
See you there!

You've obviously never met a Scotsman before. Wahey!Pedda wrote: I do't think there will be a language barrier.

In fact, I have and I haven't had that many problems, if any.Shteve0 wrote:You've obviously never met a Scotsman before. Wahey!Pedda wrote: I do't think there will be a language barrier.

Although, it depends on where said Scotsman is from, but I don't think it's that much of a problem that Mike shouldn't go to StockBowl Cup VI.

Well in fact I'm an Englishman so I can use a clearer accent if required, but live and am marrying into Scotland I have very mixed loyalties, unless watching sports!
That being said... I've booked flights, and a hostel in the centre near a train station to get to the venue. See you there

We are pleased to have you Mike!
The general language for the tournament will be English as we have several international coaches attending.
There are some Finns coming that might not be great at speaking English, or at all depending on the alcohol levels...
But if we are being serious I don't think the language barrier will be a problem.
