Right! We're on!

ExeBowl 3 will be on Saturday 15th October 2016 at Whipton Institute Social Club, Exeter, EX4 8AW.

ExeBowl 3 will be part of the South West Tournament Championship 2017 Season.

£13 for NAF members, £18 for non-members (first year fee included). Price includes lunch, tournament gift (ordered already), prizes for winners and entry to the raffle. Please send payment as a PayPal gift to exebowl@gmail.com including your NAF name and NAF number. Registration is open now and there is a capacity of 42 at the venue.

1 day, 3 games. 1,200,000 gold crowns to spend on your team. 6 skills one of which can be a 'Double'. NAF Approved.

All teams start with a free Fan Factor of 5 and you can not buy additional Fan Factor with your treasury.

You may spend money from your treasury on inducements and these then become a permanent part of your team. All inducements are permitted except Mercenaries and Team Wizards. Teams must hire 11 rostered players before adding 0-2 Star Players. If you bring Special Play Cards, then these must be drawn at random at the start of each game. In the event of both teams hiring the same Star Player(s) then both teams are allowed the field the Star Player(s) at the same time.

The twist this year is that the Colleges of Magic (the 10 from Dungeon Bowl) are trying to help the teams. Before each game coaches will roll a D10 to see which college is supporting them and then a D6 to see what gift the wizards have given the team. Gifts will stay with players for the rest of the tournament and they can stack! Gifts will be skills, some good...some bad.

And the weekend after would be half term. I'll speak to Vault Bowl and try and sort something out.

Happy to discuss my experiences with 4 game BUBBA. In short you would need to be prepared to start a bit earlier and finish a bit later (obviously :) ), I think it would help to have the TO free to just organise but TBH honest I've had to play in the last couple and you can make it work. I would say the big thing is tempo, the obvious example is making sure players know they are halfway and when maybe a couple of other 'milestone' times to keep focused but I think the make or break on whether it 'works' is a bit more tenuous.

Just a quick update. I have the rules pack done and it has been NAF approved.

I'll be finalising the venue this week. Once that is done I'll post the rules and other details and I'll be happy to take payments from any early birds. Limit is 36 and as usual it will be 3 games, a gift, lunch, raffle entry and prizes.

Pete
