Registration from 9.00 with the draft beginning at 10.00am and first of six games game at 10:45 aiming to finish by 6.

What am I getting for my money?
Apart from a whole day off blood bowl fun, your money is been used to...
Produce 7's pitches and tokens to a good quality.
Provide your team pieces (which you can keep).
Print player stickers.
Print player cards in colour and on good card stock.
Provide you with a card wallet sleeve to organise your team (and keep with team in).
Trophy for first prize, raffle team and spot prizes.


Each stage of the day will be explained as it is done, however you may find it useful, and of tactical advantage, to read through the stages.

The draft
This will work on a Severn Wonders/Magic gathering system;
There will be two divisions of 6 managers, who will share one deck of player cards. These will be dealt out evenly to all managers in division, each manager chooses just one player card before passing hand to left, they then pick another card from new hand and pass again, this is continued until the manager has 10 player cards.

Creating a team
Each manager must now pick there final 7s team from there draft cards.
There is no player limit.
You have 600k to spend.
No rerolls/fan factors may be brought.
No cheerleaders/assistant coaches/apothecaries may be brought unless 7 players are already included in team.
Cheerleaders and Assistant coaches cost 20k each.

Once done please put team in card wallet and hand in team for checking.
You will be given some coloured wooden cubes to represent team and need to apply the correct player stickers to the top.

The games
Each coach will get a chance to play each other coach in there league once (so 5 games). The final round will be play offs between the divisions. (please note, this is subject to change due to working out how to best fit to player numbers.) Each game should last an hour, no more then 10 minutes will be waited for final game to finish after all others.
After each game all players are healed back to full health and one randomly selected player gains a normal skill. No player can get more then two skills. After game three the random player instead MUST take a double skill.

Seven rules
All standard blood bowl rules are used with the following alterations.
A seven's pitch will be used.
Only 1 player may start in each wide zone at kick off.
3 players must start of there own scrummage line at kick off.
The ball must end up on pitch and beyond the kicking teams line of scrummage at kick off, otherwise receivers get a touchback.
There is only 7 turns per team per half.
All passing rangers count as one shorter. (So there is no quick pass.)
Dump off skill now works for just short passes.
In the blitz kick off event players on own line of scrummage may not move.

After event
After we finish you will be welcome to stay and play some more at shop. You are welcome to play some players from the other division, have a rematch, take advantage off the shops board game collection or join Smee for a game of Blood Bowl Team Manager!

Some other info
Each division deck of cards includes one off each player from the main 24 teams with any repeats been removed. (So only one skeleton and only one ogre, who has loner, etc.) There is 84 different players in each deck.
You have on average 85k to spend on players to get 7 players, only 75k if you want 8 players.
The average cost off all the players in deck is about 76k.
Remember you have no rerolls!

Completely understand that Darkson, but thought we would try out the date as locally people seemed keen.
Keep an eye out, if successful we plan to do another draft type tournament next year.

Let me know how you get on with the card draft practice, I've done it with 5 other live people and also with random removal to represent others. But make sure hands start at 14 cards each and you try with 6 hands, really changes odds if not.

There are 84 in the deck, yes? I think ranges mean one longer, so 3 squares is short, 6 quick etc, is that right?

Yep 84 in deck, added in chaos pact Maruder and Slann to get nice number.

Throwing rangers are indeed one longer that standard. So 3 squares is a short pass, 6 is a long pass and 9 is a long bomb. No throws longer than that.

FYI exact draft format might change depending on numbers of coaches. Hard to fully confirm till I know exact numbers.
