Abbey Bowl 2 [4/6/2016 - Bruges]
TIME SCHEDULE
We've pledged to play four games this day, so you'll understand we're on a tight scheme. Nonetheless, we think it can be done:
8u30 - 9u00 opening and registration
9u00 - 11u15 GAME 1
11u15 - 11u45 lunch break (we'll order sandwiches)
11u45 - 14u00 GAME 2
14u15 - 16u30 GAME 3
16u45 - 19u00 GAME 4
19u closing ceremony
entrance fee
€7 (sandwich not included)
RULES (you'll notice these are the rules for EUROBOWL 2016 in Sweden - to get your practice games in )
1100 gold to buy team.
All 21 races from CRP plus the 3 extra NAF-sanctioned teams.
Halflings can buy chef
Goblins can buy bribes
Only tier 3 teams may buy star players.
No other inducements allowed
All skills rostered before game 1, no progression.
Tier 1
5 normal skills.
Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead and Wood Elf.
Tier 2
5 normal skills +1 double skill OR 20 extra gold to buy the team.
Chaos, Chaos Pact, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Necromantic, Nurgle, Pro Elf, Slann and Vampire.
Tier 3
5 normal skills + 1 double skill AND 20 extra gold to buy the team.
Goblin, Halfling, Ogre and Underworld.
prizes
If the NAF allowes us, we'll give the shiny shield to the winner . Various other prizes will be at hand. Even a special "Abbey Bowl Trophy".
location
the official address will lead you to an avenue entering a forest. At the end of the avenue, you'll have a roundabout with only one exit: take it. You'll see a metal fence (will be open): drive through and park on the field where my students play basketball

great tourney, very well organised (even if 4games, we finished 20 minutes earlier as planned!)El Hombre wrote:So, it's over!
a BIG thank you for all who attended: we had to scrape to get to 8 players last year, this year we had 16. So next year it's either 32 or 8 again .
the final standings:
to finish, I'd like a word of feedback on the 4-games concept. Personally I had a huge headache yesterday-evening; running the tournament and playing four games (and having 3 small children :? ) proved to be a challenge. How did everybody else think about it? Should I stick to the four games, or go back to the standard three games? Did everybody had a headache, or was it just me?
