WIBBLE BOWL 2016 IS NOW FULL.
We will however open a waiting list for interested players to cover anyone who drops out.

West Yorkshire Blood Bowl League presents
WIBBLE BOWL 2016
(NAF ranked)

General Information
Date and Time
Saturday 1 October 2016

Venue
Stainbeck United Reformed Church
Stainbeck Road
Leeds
LS7 2PP
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.83097 ... 542956,19z

Parking
The venue has ample free parking which is accessed via Stainbeck Lane (around the corner from the front of the church)

Refreshments/food
Tea and coffee will be available. We will provide cookies if tournament funds allow.
Lunch is not provided, however the venue is directly oposite a Sainsburys local which offers a good selection of sandwiches, snacks and so forth.

Entry costs and payment
Wibble Bowl is being held alongside the church's board games day, this means other people will be at the venue so we need to act and dress appropriately. It also means we get free access to the venue as we are part of the games day event. However it has been decided that we are going to make a donation to the church (they are doing us a big favour, and if everything goes well then we can book the hall for future (bigger) events). Therefore we are collecting a fee so we can centralize the donation, buy some trophies and get everyone a tournament gift. If we have any spare funds we'll also get some cookies!

All in we need £12.50 per entry for NAF registered coaches. Non NAF will be £15. We strongly recommend coaches register with the NAF for the full tournament experience (and save money on this and many other tournaments). We're starting this event small this year with a capacity of 12 coaches so sign up soon to ensure your place.

Please send payments by paypal to admin@wybbl.org.uk. Could you select the 'gift' or 'paying a friend' option so we don't lose out on fees please? Please tell us your NAF name and number if registered.

Things To Bring With You
A painted team.
Your Blood Bowl board.
Dice.
Templates.
Two roster sheets (one for me, one for yourself and your opponent to refer to).

Rules
We will be using the CRP / LRB 6.0 rules. These are available here http://www.thenaf.net/blood-bowl/rules/
(please download before end of June as it will be removed from the site).
You may use any of the 24 races including the BBRC approved races.

The Illegal Procedure and 4-minute time limit rules will not be enforced. There will be a time limit for games as a whole though, so if you play slowly we may be forced to use a clock or have a result called early.

We will be using the standard "Resurrection" rules: You will play each match with the same starting roster and do not need to record SPPs or any ongoing injuries.

Undead, Necro or Nurgle teams may not keep 'raised' players from game to game.

Team Selection
Coaches may spend up to 1,100,000 gc on their teams.

Coaches MAY include one Star Player as part of their team. However they must purchase at least 11 "regular" players first.

Exceptions to this rule are Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Vampires and Underworld teams, who may hire up to two Star Players (again 11 "regular" players must be purchased first).

No inducements may be taken except goblins who make take 1 to 3 bribes at 50k each and halflings who may hire a master chef for 100k.

Skills
The number of skills awarded will be determined by team type.

TIER 1 Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardman, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
TIER 2 Chaos, Chaos Pact, Elf, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Necromantic, Nurgle, Slann
TIER 3 Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Underworld, Vampire

TIER 1 = 3 normal skills
TIER 2 = 4 normal and 1 doubles skill
TIER 3 = 5 normal and 2 doubles skills

You may not assign more than one additional skill to any player and star players may not have skills added.

Games and Scoring
The first round will be drawn randomly, with all further rounds using the Swiss system. The overall winner will be the coach with the most points at the end of the day - there will be no final.

Points are scored as follows:
2 points for a win.
1 points for a draw.
0 points for a loss.

Ties (for both Swiss and final winner) will be resolved as follows:
Ties to be determined on the following (in order) Head to Head, Strength of Schedule, TD difference, CAS difference

Casualty score in this case is casaulties from BLOCKING ONLY (including "defensive" ones where the blocking player ends up injured and gives the intended victim a casualty point ;) ).

Schedule
09.45-10.15 Registration
10:15-12:30 Match 1
12:30-13:15 Lunch
13:15-15:30 Match 2
15:30-17:45 Match 3
17:45-18:00 Awards and close

Unfortunately I can't make it any more as I'm off to Mallorca for 8 days instead! 8)

You can keep my fee and donate it to the church, or buy new stuff for WYBBL, or spend it all on beer for the attendees.
