Post by Mike_Rushby »

The Aberdeen BloodBowl Community "League-sort-of" is proud to announce the inaugural Granite Bowl in 2017, being held on the 20-21 May. Aberdeen in Scotland has had a long Blood Bowl history in the past, and we are proud to be able to bring a tournament back to the Granite City, and excited to do so in style with a prize pool to match!

A full rules pack will be announced after we receive confirmation from the NAF, but general details are below.

5 games over 2 days of Blood Bowl by Swiss pairings - enables people to get away by 1630ish on Sunday to allow for travel
TV1100, with a tiered system for races. Tier 1 has 6 Normal skills - see the Rulespack attached to this post for full details!

Would it be possible for the skill selection rules to be as similar to the EuroBowl as possible.

Thanks, HumptyTrump

Ralph- we are aware of that school of thought for rule sets, and are balancing the longer competitive view with a ensuring a great experience for everybody who is attending. You'll have a great time I promise!

Unless you play dwarves. Never play dwarves... ;-)

Pipey - if you (and any other Geordies) are able to make it up then reciprocal hosting is of course on offer. I'll speak to you at UKTC.

Love to have you DonVito! Again - hospitality for Geordies is on offer since you've always looked after the Scots so well when we come down... Just need to bribe the wife suitably to be elsewhere ;-)
