Morning all, just an update following last night’s announcement about increased restrictions beginning from Monday.

I’ve been in contact with the venue and we believe we can still run an event as safely as is possible. Masks, hand washing, spacing, hand sanitiser gel and general common sense are key areas for us to keep on top of throughout the day, and that hasn’t changed since last night.

We will have access to seven separate rooms, with marked out areas of play.

The fourth Foul Bowl took place at Firestorm Games Swindon, yesterday. We were fortunate enough to be able to run it just before the new UK coronavirus restrictions begin on Monday, but safety and sensibility (off the pitch, anyway!) meant we ran it as safely as possible. Even had a couple of new coaches attend their first NAF-ranked tournament, which is always great to see.

The ruleset allows for some pretty strong and/or Machiavellian team builds, so we had Blood Lust-less Vampires, touchdown-scoring Fanatics and un-send-offable Secret Weapons.

Everyone was well behaved and stuck to the expectations of the day, the only occurrences of social distancing being blatantly ignored happened on the pitch, usually with gang fouls.

Cheers to Glyn Pascoe for having us in the store, hope it’s not too long before tournaments are able to re-return, safely.
