Entry costs and payment
• All coaches need to be NAF members.
• Entry cost is £10
• Any coaches that need sign up or renew their NAF membership can do so at an additional cost of £5 (payable directly to the NAF rep).
• Please send payments for tournament sign up by PayPal to holmfirthgamingcentre@gmail.com. Could you select the ‘gift’ or ‘paying a friend’ option so we don’t lose out on fees please?
• Due to previous issues, we will not be offering refunds, however will do everything we can to help you sell your ticket on to another coach should the need arise.

Rules
• Orktober Iron Cup will be using current NAF approved rule set. Please check the NAF website for the current rules.
• The Illegal Procedure will not be enforced. There is a time limit for games, so coaches are encouraged to play 4 minute turns to ensure games are completed.
• The ref team will be on hand to ensure rounds run to time and will advise of time remaining periodically throughout each round.
• Each player on your roster must be represented by an appropriate painted miniature. You do not need to have miniatures for coaching staff but of course may do so if you wish.
• We will be using the standard “Resurrection” rules; coaches will play each match with the same starting roster and do not need to record SPPs or any ongoing injuries.
• Undead and Necro teams may “raise the dead” and are able to gain a free zombie player (subject to the normal rules for that ability) for the remaining duration of the current match only. No team may keep players gained through “raise the dead” or “Nurgle’s rot” between rounds.
• The following skills have no effect in this tournament and can be ignored. Weeping Daggers, Nurgle’s Rot and Disposable.

Rosters
Rosters are purchased with a treasury of 1,100,000 gold crowns. Inducements may not be purchased as part of your tournament roster other than these three exceptions:
• All teams may hire 0-2 Star Players
• Goblins and Snotlings may take 0-3 Bribes at 50k each.
• Halflings may hire a Master Chef for 100k

• If you include Star Player(s) in your roster you must first have at least 11 normal rostered players before including the Star(s).
• If two coaches are drawn against each other in the tournament with the same Star Player on their roster, then both coaches are permitted to use the Star (contrary to the normal rule).
• Note, during the pre-match sequence extra gold crowns for inducements are not awarded to teams who may have a lower team value, such as they are in league play.
• Each team will be offered a skills package to enhance their players; this will be done on a tier system.

TIER 1: Amazons, Bretonnians, Chaos Dwarves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Norse, Orcs, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves
TIER 2: Chaos Pact, Elf Union, High Elves, Humans, Khemri, Necromantic, OWA
TIER 3: Chaos, Khorne, Nurgle, Slann, Underworld, Vampires
TIER Stunty: Goblin, Halfling, Ogres, Snotlings The packages will be as follows:

TIER 1 = 3 normal skills
TIER 2 = 2 normal skills, and 1 double skill
TIER 3 = 3 normal skills, and 1 double skill
TIER Stunty = 4 normal skills, and 2 double skills

Note: Underworld teams now use the positional allowance as detailed in Spike 9 All the additional skills are added to your roster at the start of the tournament.

Players may receive a maximum of one skill. Note that skills allowed for each Tier are exactly as ‘New Skill’ rolls specified either ‘Normal’ or ‘Double’ as per the CRP Improvement Rolls table. There are no restrictions on skill duplication i.e. you may give multiple players the same skill if you wish. Star Players may not be given additional skills.

Games and Scoring

The first round will be drawn randomly, with all further rounds using the Swiss system. The overall winner will be the coach with the most points at the end of the day – there will be no final.

Ties to be determined on the following (in order) Head to Head, Strength of Schedule, Combined TD and Casualty difference

Casualty score in this case is casualties from BLOCKING ONLY. Note that if a blocking player rolls an attacker down (skull) or both down result and is injured it counts as a casualty for the player they were trying to block.

Just a heads up. Right after I posted this the Government introduced new restrictions on social gatherings. We are already discussing how we might run this in accordance with government guidelines which of course can change at very short notice. Watch this space...

Hello

Well unfortunately it's not looking like good news so far. Holmfirth falls under Kirklees and additional restrictions are coming in next week. The club is closing in the light of this and therefore as it stands we don't have a venue even if we decided we could go ahead in a legal and safe way.

I'm not making a final call on this right now but I'd suggest there is a very good chance that it will end up being cancelled or taking place after a significant postponement.

To our disappointment but I suspect to no one's great surprise we will have to make the call that this event cannot go ahead this year. Hope to see you all on the other side!
