General Rules
Bloodbowl 2020 Rulebook and Death Zone 2020, Team Selection from Rulebook, GW’s Teams of Legend and NAF’s Rules for Tournaments 2021.

Tournament Schedule
3 games. Random draw for round 1 then using Swiss system for games 2 and 3.

Team Creation
A total of 1,100,000 GP allowance for building a team with a minimum of 11 players.

Each coach may include a Maximum of 2 Star Players on the roster AFTER the minimum 11. Only Star Players/General Inducements/Biased Referees/Infamous Coaching Staff/Wizards etc. from the 2020 Rulebook, 2020 Deathzone and Spikes released since are eligible . No custom mercenaries/pitches/balls are allowed.

ALL coaches get, in addition, a custom star player, Wrapping Paper Face for free to add to their roster. This may take your roster over the usual maximum 16 player limit.

Tiers & Skills
There are 4 Tiers, composed of the following teams:

Tier 1 (4 Primary Skills)
Dark Elf, Human, Lizardmen, Undead, Skaven, Wood Elf

Tier 2 (4 Primary Skills & 1 Secondary Skill)
Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dwarf, Imperial Nobility, Norse, Old World Alliance, Orc

Tier 3 (5 Primary Skills & 1 Secondary Skill)
Black Orc, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegade, Elven Union, High Elf, Khorne, Necromantic, Nurgle, Slann, Tomb Kings, Underworld, Vampires

Tier 4 (5 Primary Skills & 2 Secondary Skills)
Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Skinks, Snotlings, Undergobs

Tiers 1-3: No Player may receive more than 1 Skill.
Tier 4: Players may stack Primary skills but not with Secondary ones.

A Primary Skill may be selected instead of a Secondary Skill.

Star Players cannot be given Skills.

Stunty Cup: To be eligible to win the stunty Cup your team must:
1. Be from tier 4
2. Not contain anymore than 1 player of strength 3 or 4.

All inducements from Rulebook 2020 and Death zone 2020 are allowed, except for Special Play Cards.

Kick-off table as per 2020 Rulebook.

Dress Code
Christmas Jumpers aren't mandatory but you'll get +1 Dedicated Fans each game if you're wearing one.

NAF Registration
This is a NAF approved tournament and as a such you will need to be registered with the NAF in order to play. Newcomers to tournaments and the NAF will have their first NAF subscription inclided as part of their ticket fee.

Roster submission deadline
All rosters are to be submitted no later than Sunday November 28th. This will allow the tournament organiser 1 week to check for errors and then correct them.

Parking
Car park located to the rear of the premises. No Charges on Sundays.

Lunch
Lunch will be provided and is included in the cost of entry. Consisting of a fabulous buffet including sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese and bacon turnovers, soup, cake etc.
Please make the Tournament Organiser aware if you have any dietary requirements or preferences (Veggies/Vegans).

What you need to bring
Painted team (3 Colour minimum with players numbered)
2 Copies of team roster (One for your opponent, one for you.)
GW or NAF Block Dice, D6/D8/D16

Weather Table
As it's Christmas, the winter weather table will be in effect:

Roll 2D6:
2 - Howling Winds: The fans are shivering in the stands as a ferocious gale blows steadily down the pitch. Any pass attempts have an additional -1 modifier. Each player rolls a D6 (re-rolling ties) – the wind is blowing down the pitch towards the losing player’s End Zone. Whenever the ball scatters for a kick-off or inaccurate pass, it will be blown down the pitch. Before making the Scatter roll, place the Throw-in template over the ball so that the3-4 result is pointing in the same direction as the wind, then roll a D6 and move the ball one space in the corresponding direction. Repeat this a second time, then scatter the ball as normal.

3 - Freezing: A sudden cold snap turns the ground as hard as granite (and not the ‘astro’ variety that players are used to). Whenever a player is Knocked Down, add 1 to the result of the Armour roll.

4-10 - Brisk: It’s rather chilly, but it is as close to perfect Blood Bowl weather as you can hope for at this time of year! This counts as a ‘Nice’ result for purposes of the Changing Weather result on the Kick-off table.

11 - Heavy Snow: Visibility is low, it’s slippery underfoot and it’s impossible to spot tripping hazards, making it very difficult indeed to block effectively. Whenever a player makes a Blitz Action, their ST is reduced by 1 for the duration of that Action.

12 - Blizzard: Between the snow, the wind and the icy ground, it is a miracle the game’s still in progress! Any player attempting to move an extra square (GFI) will slip and be Knocked Down on a roll of 1-2, and only Quick or Short Passes can be attempted.

Resurrection
At the end of each round of the tournament, all players are healed of any injuries and dead players come back to life.

Other Rules
There is no championship final. The standings will solely be determined by total points.
Special Play Cards will not be used at all.
In the spirit of good sportsmanship, Illegal Procedure will not be called.
Overtime will not be played in any round.

Time
Rounds will be strictly limited to 2 hour 15 minutes. You will receive ‘Time Remaining’ updates from the Tournament Organizer to help you stay on track. Once the tournament organiser calls time, each coach may complete the turn in progress only if there was at least one fully-completed action taken before time was called.

Lateness
Any coach that turns upto the event late will be penalised. Thier opposing coach will be awarded 1 touchdown for every half hour they are late (Rounded up).

Dice
GW or NAF Block Dice and D6/D8 only please.
Agree before the game on cocked dice, dice off the table, etc, please just be consistent.

Scoring
Each Game will be scored as follows
+10 points for a loss
+30 points for a draw
+50 points for a win
-15 points for conceding
Tie-break – In the event of a draw in the final standing the tournament organiser will declare the coach with the most Christmas Chainsaw Star Player casualties the champion.


Awards
Chainsaw Massacre Champion - First place team in standings with the most overall points

Second Place - Second place team in standings with the most overall points

Third Place - Third place team in standings with the most overall points

Stunty Cup - Stunty team in standings with the most overall points. This is only available to teams from tier 4.

Chainsaw Carved Spoon - Coach that finished lowest in standings with the fewest overall points

Best Chainsaw Award – Awarded to the Coach with the most Christmas Chainsaw Star Player Casualties. (Any casualties caused by either a Chainsaw block/blitz/foul action.)

Hang on, so snotlings aren't eligibile for stunty cup with 2 trolls and 2 pump wagons? Nor Ogres as they have up to 6 ST5 pieces?

I think it's worded such that ST5 players don't count; specifically says ST3 or 4.

So Humans could take 4 catchers, 4 Halflings, Ogre, Zug, Blitzer and be a Stunty team, I think?

An interesting thought but halflings are 0-3 on a human team.

The stipulation just means if you take 2 stars st3/4 then you aren't eligible to win stunty Cup. I should also add that stunty cup is only available to tier 4 teams.

Stunty cup entrants must be from tier 4.
Stars after minimum 11. Morg and Co still slightly too accessible at 1.1 with added skills imo.
