Amazons to Rendez-Vous?
OK, I'm taking 'zons.
So far 9 of the 38 teams on the site are either Dwarf or Chaos Dwarf.
Am I gonna get battered?

Re: Amazons to Rendez-Vous?
No worries. There was an Amazon team at Cancon (100k starting teams with normal progression). The amazons played 3 Dwarf teams in the 7 matches and beat all 3. Some of them must have been good coaches because the last match was a playoff for 3rd place.Deathwing wrote:OK, I'm taking 'zons.

Only a good coach could manage this, but that should be no problem for you.

Re: Amazons to Rendez-Vous?
Normal progression maybe the key there. This follows a Res style of assigning one (normal access) skill to any player post game. By game 3 or 4 Dwarf Longbeards are gonna be touting some MB and Guard (At least they would if I were coaching them!), whereas they are more unlikely to be under normal progression. Block/MB/Tackle is horrid against 'Zons and will just eat linegirls.Bevan wrote:No worries. There was an Amazon team at Cancon (100k starting teams with normal progression). The 'normal skill' format also denies the stat upgrades/Dauntless access which are important factors for zons in League play. (With this being 1,100k as well, a lot of Orc or Human coaches will have an Ogre with Block after Game 1, again not the case with normal progression.)
To sum up, I would be very confident of beating 'zons with either CDs or Dwarves under this format, particularly in game 4, 5 or 6 (by which stage all the tools required to dismantle the girls could be in place).
Tried and tested Orcs for me this time out.

You wouldn't want a bashing war against dwarfs under any circumstances, so you shouldn't mind guard or MB anyway.Normal progression maybe the key there. It's basically the tackle skill (and block) which might kill you there. But on the other hand who knows against who you are up to. And have a look at Chets game against the dwarfs (o.k., stars etc...) but do not have fear!
So Orcs now and the girls at Tulips?
Why not dark elves now?
And hey, not even a week left. THE HEAT IS ON....
I will practise some aggresive dodging then)

I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.

I recently demolished a 'Zon team with CDs in a Pbem league. Tackle does an effective job of preventing 'Zons escaping once you tie them up. That leaves them with taking the blocks or burning TRRs to get away. MB then puts you through the armour on average. I really believe it's most effective against AV7.Sputnik wrote:
