Scoring a tournament

Post by BlanchPrez »

Hey guys,

I am putting together a tournament, and I was wondering how to score things between rounds. I like the scoring used for the Blood Bowl, but how do I factor in touchdowns and casualities? One point each? Or is there some other method? Thanks!

Many tourneys use different scoring systems.

The BB used
4 for a win
2 for a draw
2 for losing by 1
1 for losing by more than 1
0 for conceding.

up to 3 points for painting
up to 2 points for sociable behavior

If there was a tie, total amount of TD's then casualties was used for determining the higher rating team.

Oh, I get it! As a tie breaker it makes more sense. Thanks!

Well, i talked with guys after the tourny,
I will probably change the 5pts victory to 4 next year:
Victory=>4pts
Draw=>2pts
Loss by 1=>1Pts
Loss by more than 1=>0
Concede=>-1

Use TD and Cas difference! Not totals!
My favourite system? The one the FA use. 3 points win, 1 point draw, then goal difference. Whats the closest thing in BB?

yes tie breaker is deal with td ndt or Solkoff (chess systeme)

Solkoff: take the tourny points of all your opponent and add them together.
The coach with the bigger Solkoff is up because that does mean that he played against better opponents.

Would you use this in conjunction with Swiss? I think it would help compensate for "easy" games in the early rounds.

Of course!!! That's why i like it!

but you only use Solkoff after the last game to have the final ranking. (not between rounds)
