Mark your calendars: German Tournament in Mannheim
After a first meeting of the tournament organizers Anke, Steffen and Tim (aka N-Key, Zodiac and ... well... me), we set the final date and location of the first NAF sanctioned Blood Bowl tournament in Germany.
It will take place at the weekend of August 30/31 in Ilvesheim, very close to Mannheim.
Please mark your calendars if you plan to attend. Further details will be posted here and on the NAF site, as soon as some final calculations and arrangements have been made. We'll try to make a special deal with a nearby "Gasthaus" to offer accomodation to our long traveled guests.
Mannheim is well conntected to the German train system, including the fast ICE trains. Frankfurt/Main airport is pretty close, Frankfurt/Hahn (cheap flights! e.g. with Ryanair) and Stuttgart are in the 100km range as well. If you plan to do a little sightseeing, Heidelberg is just 20 mins. from Mannheim by train.
Hope to see as many people as possible!

Just had a look at flights...it may be possible, bad time of year though (I'm always skint in August!).
Depends on price of accomodation and things....Hmmm..I'd love to come (not been to Germany for around 27 years! ).
No promises..but maybe.

I just checked as well...700 swedish crowns return with Ryanair...thats about 60 pounds sterling, 70 Euro...I'm really considering this now, dependent on accomodation costs...I'll be due a couple of days extra holiday because I'll be working over midsummer...
Sod it. Put me down for a PRELIMINARY place...(trans: let me talk to my wife...)
