As I don't have the capacity, and don't want my servers swamped, so don't register (you wont get approved anyway).JJB wrote:...and for those who want to know where the ECBBL forum is, check out:

Thanks to Richard for organising a really good, fun tournament, and the other players for some enjoyable games. As JJB mentioned, good atmosphere, the smaller numbers were actually good for socialising etc. If you're available for it next year, you should definitely sign up. The variety of games going on and stalls selling around the convention make it an even more interesting occasion.
I'll post my match reports later (I'll try to be brief as there are 8 of them) and hopefully the pics of the trophies, which were rather nice - and the bronze one was definitely the nicest colour

Hi
Finally made my way to a computer and the results have been entered onto the NAF website.
Despite only six of us making it in the end (bad luck noodle; hope your dad is feeling a bit better) it was all good fun, and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
Congrats to Chris, bad luck to Justin.....
Quick summary of my games:
I was using Woodies, 2 WD's, 1 Catcher, 8 LineElves, 2 TRR's, 6 FF, Apoth.
Game One vs Justin (undead)
In 16 blocks he injured five of my players. A real struggle from there. 3-1 loss, with six casualties in total.
Game Two vs Chris (undead)
Bit more lucky, with Chris failing a couple of crucial dodges/ pickups to give me a 2-1 victory. One WD was particularly impressive, with 3 double-1 dodges in a row......
Game Three vs Huan (norse)
I didn't fail much, and Huan made a couple of mistakes, which resulted in a 3-1 victory. Almost made a one-turner. Oh for an extra reroll!
Game Four vs Paul (skavs)
4-4 draw pretty much describes it! We were both one 2+ roll away from winning the game.
Game Five vs Kev (CD's)
Ow..... Lost 3-1, forced into continual 1-die blocks. Kev played a good solid game and made me do desperate measures to try to stay in it. Needless to say they didn't work, and he won 3-1.
Then into the playoffs....
Game Six vs Huan
The game I had been waiting for. Pretty much everything worked, Huan couldn't do more than stun me, and kept dropping the ball for good measure. 4-0 win, with a failed 2+ on the last turn to stop it being 5-0
Game Seven vs Justin
My chance for revenge from the first game. But..... Very painful! I was reduced to 0 players on the pitch, had only 2 start one drive, and had three blitzes rolled against me in a row. Has anyone else in a tournament ever scored 4 turns in a row??? I think Justin has a record there...... Lost 6-0
Game Eight vs Huan (playing for the wooden spoon)
It's tough to beat someone three times in one tournament, and so it proved. Huan had learnt from the other two games, and also started making his armour rolls. My luck couldn't hold out, and Huan edged me for a 2-1 win, meaning I won the wooden spoon.
The third skill choice was interesting, but five players opted for two basic skills on rookies, with only Kev taking a different option, having a block/break tackle bull centaur.
Hope to see more people there next year!
