Hello Puckohue!

Will Spettcake Bowl 2003 be held at SydCon, like you said at Lincon or is it a separate tournament? I checked the SydCon site and there was nothing about any Blood Bowl tournament. Perhaps they haven´t updated it yet?

But still, I have marked 1-2 aug in my calender! It will be very good to come back to the town where I learned play this marvelous game. These memories!

Spettcake Bowl will be a part of SydCon Aug 1-2. The tournament details will be available at the NAF site as soon as Thadrin pushes a button...

I hope it will be as fun as Lincon was!

Will this tournament be played with same rules as Lincon, or are there any changes?

And about the name, will the winner get a giant "spettekaka" or what!

There will most likely be some changes to the rules from Lincon, however nothing is decided yet.

I'm not the main organiser but I will get back with any information as soon as it is available.

I must say I was disappointed when I read the rules.

My reasons why I won't attend:

1. Stars and Wizards allowed.

2. 1.000.000gps. Makes no room for versatility (sp?)

3. SPP like in any league. Well if I wanted that I'd play a league not a tournament.

4. To have Team Rating as major swiss determination is more than crazy. It makes it a pure luck game.

Too sum it up.
I won't attend because the rules set sucks for a tournament.

Thats's my opinion.

Actually after reading the rules I have no interest in going and I haven't spoken with wife about it yet.

What is your opinion about the tournament rules?

as I've said over at the NAF site, they aren't suitable for tournaments IMO. SPPs were designed for long term leagues where casualties and SPPs are spread more evenly across all teams.

but I'm not reproducing everything here for the sake of it.
