Betsi Challenge, Zürich aftermath - Grim Ironjaw live!

Post by Tim »

Last weekend 4 of us from Mannhein went to the Betsi Challenge in Zürich. Here's a quick overview of what happened.

It was a one day, 4 game tournament. TR100, no stars, one skill after each game. The organisation by Chrigi and Wijs was excellent! They put much effort into a lot of small details like the awesome table one (elevated on a stage with a gras mat with yard markings, nice stadium pitch), the hand made prizes and the awesome award show with a big surprise.

Unfortunatly only 18 people came to join the show, that tournament would have had deserved a much larger attendence.

The final ranking was strongly influenced by painting and sportsmanship points, so the only unbeaten coach (Norse) was second while the first place was taken by better painted and more sporting Dwarf team (sorry for not remembering the names ... i was really tired all day).

N-Key'S Gobbos managed to grab "Best Painted", while my Chaos Dwarfs finished 3rd place with a 3-1 record after an extremly tight last match on table one vs. the Norse (which i lost due to a series of 5 5+ dice throws after failing a 5+ catch with RR myself).

Thanks to Chrigi and Wijs for a great tourament!

Here are some impressions:

A view from the top ... so much space ... so few coaches ...

Match2: A very irritated Chaos dwarf ended up with the ball and scored with a block.

Match4: tough game against the Norse! Couldn't get them off the pitch.

Thanks Kadu-C!!
It was not a hard painting competition....
It was a fight between Tim and me. Other Teams were half painted or not painted.
