HELP javabowl
Ok, I am trying to load a custom team into the SkiJunkie javabowl client tool but can't seem to do it. I tried putting the custom teams inot the teams folder in the game folder, but they aren't listed with the default teams when I go to load it. Typing the file name gives me the results of message stating that file doesn't esist. Doesn't matter what folder I put team file into get same results. Vormer had suggested adding html to file name but that didn't work either.
This is starting to me off as I am in both FUMBBL and Vormer's league but I haven't played a match 'cus can't load either of my teams.
Short of downloading and reinstalling javabowl tool, what can I do?
Please HELP ME

Try loading one of the default teams, then modify to suit.
Save as something different.
Go to the positions.ini file and add in your new positions to the same team type so you get the correct letters to show for the players during the game.
That should work...

For FUMBBL, you can type in the URL of your team instead of using a local file.
In this case, this would be:
http://fumbbl.no-ip.org/league/teams/Th ... iants.html
That would make the javabbowl client download the team from the fumbbl website.

I agree, the file extension is probably the problem. I think by default that team editor might save them as a ".htm" file. You can either rename the file to be an ".html" file, or when you browse for the file in the game change the file type drop down to ".htm" files. It defaults to ".html" files. By the same token you are probably typing in the filename with the ".html" extension and thus the program can't find that file because it really ends with ".htm". Hope that helps.

I think I know the answer to that one. The file format of your team is more complex then what the SkiJunkie HTML-parser have can handle. Does the test teams work properly? Compare your HTML against those.Torg wrote:....when I load up the FUMBL team, there is no coin toss etc and I am supposed to set up team, but nothing shows in reserves box. Strange.
Information about Team editors that produce 'SkiJunkie-legal' HTML can be found on his home page.
This file format jungle is being looked into.
