Pro Elf Bug - Cyanide LE
I cannot play against pro elves in Tournament or Campaign (not blitz)
it crashes my pc every time. I have been forced to stop 8 different campaigns/tourneys due to this....
no other race combination causes problems.

Don't hold your breath - the one guy can only answer so many emails at a time...voyagers_uk wrote:I sent an e-mail to support at the weekend but no response yet?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

yes, I can even start a Pro elf team, it is only when they come up as my opposition.

That's VERY odd. Database issue, perhaps? Not sure
When you say "it crashes my PC" what exactly happens? Freeze, blackscreen, what?

it freezes just at the point when the field starts to be shown, then my pc shuts down and restarts itself

I know it's a long shot, but have you checked GPU temperatures etc?

Re: Pro Elf Bug - Cyanide LE
they are fine, I have a monitor on that at all times... but to be honest I can restart my pc in under a minute and play a different game (i.e. not againt Pro Elves) and be fine.
I cannnot help but think that my pro Elf "Opposition" file is corrupted somehow and the reinstall cannot fix it.
I have not modified the game in any way so cannot imagine what it is.
the only way I can describe it is it reminds of an "Ageing Roll" for my PC, that I fail.

Re: Pro Elf Bug - Cyanide LE
Have you tried using someone else's main.db file?
I've uploaded mine here if you want to try it -> http://www.mediafire.com/file/9iwp9l5x2z2i7hb/Main.db
The next thing I'd try is someone else's Elf files. Those are about 90MB and my connection here in the Pyrenees isn't really up to uploading that so I can do it when I get home (this weekend) if you like. In the meantime can you look through the viewer at each Elf position with each of the different "levels" of equipment? It should take about 5 minutes. The reason for this is that it may be a level 3 set of boots (or whatever) causing the issue, which you wouldn't have with your own team but which would show up on higher level opposition.

Re: Pro Elf Bug - Cyanide LE
No worries. It goes in C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Blood Bowl Legendary Edition\Data\DB. Be sure to back up your own version first (sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but I have no idea how computer literate you are!).

If you go to figures, don't forget the cheerleaders, although it is odd to think that any figure should stop it. Usually figure faults end up showing the human lineman instead (as all modders know )
Also, even if reinstalling - make sure the cache is emptied, in case there is a wrecked file there that survived the reinstall..
