OBBLM - Doesn't show news items

I'm having a strange problem with my OBBLM installation at zal.obblm.com. I'm using MercuryVPS's OBBLM hosting, and I've upgraded it with the DZ2 changes from theendzone.co. I'm using the CHOP! theme, but it doesn't appear to make a difference which one I use.
My problem is that none of the commissioner's notes appear on the home page. I've checked the DB, and the entries are there with a type of 1. Team News updates are showing up (type 12). If I change one of the items manually to type 12, it will show up in the list. Unfortunately, we haven't played any games yet, so I don't know if the match reports would show up.
Any ideas?
