obblm empty rule

I'm trying to set up obblm for my blood bowl league. I want to have an open play "tournament" where people can just play one off games as they choose. I would like to get rid of any ranking for that particular tournament.
If I add the rule:
$hrs[6]['rule'] = array();
will that mess anything up or will it just make it unranked?
